摘要： A geodesic antenna includes an outer cone. The geodesic antenna also includes an inner cone positioned partially within the outer cone and, together with the outer cone, defining an electromagnetic waveguide. The geodesic antenna further includes multiple driven elements configured to generate electromagnetic waves in a space between the outer and inner cones. In addition, the geodesic antenna includes a ground plane configured to reflect first electromagnetic waves of the generated electromagnetic waves back into the space between the outer and inner cones. The ground plane has a geometric design that prevents at least some second electromagnetic waves of the generated electromagnetic waves from being reflected from the ground plane and forming an interferometer pattern.

摘要： A multi-antenna system uses non-radiation coupling edges to achieve isolation. A first radiation antenna, a second radiation antenna and at least one isolator are disposed on the surface of a substrate, wherein each of the first radiation antenna and the second radiation has a resonance radiating portion, a feeding portion, and at least one non-radiation coupling edge. The isolator is disposed between the first and second radiating antennas, extending from the non-radiation coupling edge of the first radiating antenna to that of the second radiating antenna. By disposing the isolator beside the non-radiation coupling edges, the near field coupling energy between the first and second radiating antennas is cancelled out, thereby improving the isolation of the antenna. By changing the length of the isolator, the resonant frequency of the system can be adjusted.

The rectangular waveguide portions are arranged in the second direction, and inner spaces of the rectangular waveguide portions are connected to each other. The protruding wall extends from one of a pair of side surfaces of the rectangular waveguide portion opposed in a third direction toward the other of the pair of side surfaces, the third direction being perpendicular to the first and second directions.

摘要： A radio frequency antenna for radiating electromagnetic energy into a reservoir filled with a target material, the antenna being operatively connected to a feed transmission line. The antenna includes a waveguide, at least one slot formed in the outer waveguide layer, and a sleeve portion enclosing at least a portion of the waveguide. The sleeve portion comprises at least first and second dielectric layers where the permittivity of the second dielectric layer is higher than the permittivity of the first dielectric layer and the first dielectric layer is positioned in closer proximity to the waveguide than the second dielectric layer. When the antenna is inserted into the reservoir, the input impedance of the antenna remains matched to the feed transmission line for a wide range of target materials.

摘要： A compact disc coupled to a wireless communication device comprises the disc with a metalized outer portion, a wireless communication chip and a pair of tabs. The first tab may capacitively couple the wireless communication chip to the metalized portion of the disc. The second tab may be positioned in an inner portion of the disc with a gap delimited by the metalized portion and the second tab. A slot antenna is thus formed through which the wireless communication device may communicate. Wireless communication chip allows disc to be interrogated and identified for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to security, advertising and promotion, and issuing of related coupons to customers for subsequent purchases.
