    • A current limiter (100, 200, 400, 500, 700) comprises a switch (110) and connection means (105, 125) to a load and to a DC-voltage source. A control component (115) measures the current from a load to a DC-voltage source to the switch and controls the switch (110) to an open position if the current is above a threshold. In the closed position, the switch (110) admits current from the load to the DC-voltage source. The current limiter also comprises a transmission line (120) with a first (121) and a second (122) end. The first end (121) is connected to the input port of the switch (110), and the second end (122) is left open or connected to make the transmission line (120) connected in series with the switch (110).

    • Provided is a display device which enables the automatic return of a power source circuit after the power source circuit is protected from an overcurrent, at low cost. The display device includes: an output transistor having a base to which a drive voltage signal is inputted and outputting a drive voltage from an emitter; a first transistor being turned on when an overcurrent flows into the output transistor; and a second transistor being turned on and turning off the output transistor when the first transistor is turned on, the first and second transistors are repeatedly turned on and off so as to make the output transistor intermittently operate within an overcurrent operation period, and the first and second transistors are turned off and the output transistor automatically returns to a normal operation when an operation period is shifted from the overcurrent operation period to a normal operation period.

    • An adaptive protection circuit module for an operational amplifier including an over temperature protection circuit and an over current protection circuit is provided. The over temperature protection circuit provides a temperature protection function to power down the operational amplifier when an operating temperature of the operational amplifier increases higher than a first threshold temperature. The over current protection circuit provides a current protection function to limit an output current of the operational amplifier and adjusts the first threshold temperature to a second threshold temperature when the over current protection circuit is enabled. The second threshold temperature is lower than the first threshold temperature. After the first threshold temperature is adjusted to the second threshold temperature, the over temperature protection circuit powers down the operational amplifier when the operating temperature increases higher than the second threshold temperature. Furthermore, an adaptive protection method for the foregoing operational amplifier is also provided.
