The method includes sensing the engine operating temperature with a first sensor, and providing input to a controller. The controller operates the fuel injection pump apparatus to deliver fuel to each of the combustion chambers according to a first timing regime when the engine operating temperature is above a threshold temperature, and according to a second, advanced timing, regime when the engine operating temperature is below the threshold temperature. The method further includes sensing the pressure in the combustion chambers with a second sensor. When the controller is operating the fuel injection pump apparatus according to the second timing regime and the combustion chamber pressure exceeds a desired pressure, the method includes changing operation from the second timing regime to the first timing regime.

In one embodiment, mitigation damping forces can then be determined based on the velocity of an effector of a haptic manipulator and the measured accelerations. The haptic manipulator applies the mitigation damping forces as force feedback. In another embodiment, biodynamic feedthrough can be filtered from the input signal. Parameters for a model can be accessed based on the position of the effector, and the model can be used to predict biodynamic feedthrough from the measured accelerations.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for generating a slip control for an active driveline device (such as an electronic limited slip differential (eLSD)) that corrects for longitudinal tire slip in the turning wheels of a vehicle. Indicia of a yaw rate of the vehicle are obtained by the eLSD, which then determining a target velocity difference for the turning wheels based at least in upon the yaw rate, along with other factors such as difference in wheel rotation speed or the wheel-road angle of the vehicle. Using these measured parameters, a slip control signal can be applied to the eLSD as a function of the determined target velocity difference.
