The method determines an angular displacement of the motor from a start of the fuser cleaner web being unwound from the web supply roll, and controls a speed of the motor to maintain a substantially constant fuser cleaner web speed, wherein the speed of the motor is controlled based on the determined angular displacement of the motor and a changing diameter of the take up roll.
