摘要： A payment terminal includes a contactless payment transceiver, a display, and user input apparatus with a select, increase and decrease input. The payment terminal will display an initial numerical value, and respond to an increase input by incrementing the numerical value; a decrease input by decrementing the numerical value; a select input by setting a transaction amount; and use the contactless payment transceiver to initiate execution of a transaction for the transaction amount with a contactless payment token. The user input apparatus includes an aspect movable to positions either side of a zero position and is mechanically biased to the zero position. The payment terminal can control the rate of incrementing and decrementing the numerical value depending on a detected amount of deflection of the aspect from the zero position.

摘要： Methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate a rotary gate controller moving from one state to another in a manner wherein the gate controller uses the state condition to determine if an exit is taking place when an entry request has been sent. Once such an occurrence is determined to exist, the MID will send an exit request allowing the exiting customer to continue through the gate. When the internal state changes to going to a home position, the MID will send a new entry request, and the MID will indicate through MID display that the entering customer can pass through the rotary gate. The original payment of the entering customer will have been accepted and will allow the entering customer to proceed through the gate. On completion of the entry rotation, the rotary gate controller will revert back to free exit and restricted entry states.

Additionally or alternatively, the antenna may be located within the parking meter housing above a lower parking meter mechanism housing so that RF signals can be transmitted through the dome covering of the parking meter, which may have a high permittivity to the RF signals.

摘要： Methods and systems for detection of an occupancy status of a space monitored by a system (100) are described herein. The method comprises detecting a magnetic field value at the space by a magnetic field sensor (210) of a sensing device (104). The detected magnetic field value with a reference magnetic field value, to determine a magnetic occupancy status (MOS) of the space. The MOS is indicative of the change in the occupancy status of the space. The change in the occupancy status is indicative of one of a change from empty to occupied occupancy status, and a change from occupied to empty occupancy status. Further, when the MOS indicates the change in the occupancy status of the space, a radar sensor (212) of the sensing device (104) is activated to determine a radar occupancy status (ROS) by generating at least one radar reading from the radar sensor (212). The ROS is indicative of the change in the occupancy status of the space. Thereafter, the change in the occupancy status of the space is established when the ROS indicating the change in the occupancy status of the space is in agreement with the MOS. Further, the established change of the occupancy status in the space is communicated to a central unit (102) of the system (100).

A parking session of a vehicle is monitored via a first application and tracked by a second application. An initial communication connection status between the vehicle and a device associated with a user of the vehicle is obtained. At a later time, a further communication connection status is obtained. The further communication connection status is compared with the initial communication connection status. A determination is made that the parking session has terminated when a status of the further communication connection status differs from the initial communication connection status and is connected. A session termination instruction is transmitted from the first application to the second application to terminate the parking session.
