摘要： A power-switching device with interlock mechanism has a housing with a rotary knob, a slider slidably moved into a rotation range of the rotary knob, and an activation switch mounted on a sliding path of the slider. The activation switch has a control button located on an overlapped portion of the sliding path of the slider and the rotation range of the rotary knob. When the slider approaches the rotary knob, the activation switch is activated and the rotary knob is unable to rotate for being blocked. When the slider departs from the rotary knob, the activation switch is deactivated and the rotary switch is rotatable. Accordingly, when manually bypassing a UPS by turning the rotary knob, users will not forget to deactivate the activation switch, thereby avoiding damaging the UPS.

The electrical system includes a switchgear enclosure, a number of electrical switching apparatus, and a racking mechanism movably coupling the electrical switching apparatus to the enclosure. Responsive to the inputs from the electrical switching apparatus, the controller identifies the predetermined type of electrical switching apparatus, and then automatically selects a corresponding one of the software programs to control movement of the electrical switching apparatus. Thus, the same controller is operational with different predetermined types of electrical switching apparatus.

The coupling includes an adapter having a first portion coupled to the racking assembly, and a second portion coupled to the actuator. A sleeve is movably disposed on the adapter. The sleeve moves the safety interlock from the locked position to the unlocked position. When the safety interlock is disposed in the unlocked position, the adapter transfers movement of the actuator to the racking assembly to move the electrical apparatus.
