    • A connector that reduces damage of a contact portion of a contact, caused by a frame portion of a card holder when the frame portion is inserted into or extracted from a holder accommodating portion of a connector main body. A connector includes a card holder that includes a frame portion having a card accommodating portion for accommodating a card, and a connector main body that is mounted on a printed substrate and has a holder accommodating portion for accommodating the card holder. The frame portion is provided with inclined portions for suppressing deformation of contact portions of contacts protruding into the holder accommodating portion, caused by a front side of the frame portion when the card holder is inserted into or extracted from the holder accommodating portion.

The electrical connector comprises a connector body (350) comprising a planar layer of insulator material having a first face (470) opposed from a second face (370), and a peripheral wall extending around a periphery of the connector body. The connector body comprises one or more elongated cavity structures, each comprising a recess (613) molded into the second face. Conductive spring members (301, 303, 305, 307), each comprised of an elongated cantilevered beam element, are secured by one of the spring anchors within one of the cavity structures. An outer seal (360) is provided, coextensive with the peripheral wall.

    • An adapter and method for aligning and connecting the external leads of at least one integrated circuit device to conductors on a substrate of a multi-chip module. The adapter includes a component frame configured to receive the integrated circuit device. The component frame is attached to a support member. The support member with attached component frame is placed over one side of the multi-chip module substrate and the external leads of the integrated circuit device are aligned with corresponding conductors on the multi-chip module substrate. A second support member, which may also have a component frame attached thereto, is placed over the opposing side of the multi-chip module substrate. The ends of the first support member are attached to the ends of the second support member such that the external leads of the IC device are forced into electrical contact with the corresponding conductors on the multi-chip module substrate.
