    • Systems and methods for aligning data transfer to optimize connections established for transmission over a wireless network are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for aligning data transfer to a mobile device to optimize connections made by the mobile device in a cellular network. The method includes batching data received in multiple transactions directed to a mobile device for transmission to the mobile device over the cellular network such that a wireless connection need not be established with the mobile device every time each of the multiple transactions occurs. For example, the data received in the multiple transactions for the mobile device can be sent to the mobile device, in a single transaction over a single instantiation of wireless network connectivity at the mobile device.

    • A method of routing traffic through a packet network having a mesh physical topography. At least two types of network primitive are defined, each type of network primitive providing a respective model of traffic forwarding through at least two neighbor nodes of the network. A network model encompassing at least a portion of the network is constructed using a set of two or more interconnected network primitives. The network model has nodes and links corresponding to respective nodes and lines of the network. Respective forwarding information is computed for each node of the network model. For each node of the network model, the respective computed forwarding information is installed in a forwarding database of the corresponding node of the network, such that traffic is forwarded by each node of the network in accordance with the respective computed forwarding information.

A first data transmission installation is adapted to signal second data transmission installations, each of which is part of a ring-shaped data transmission topology, to be capable of building logical data transmission tunnels directed to the data terminals. Thereby, all the logical data transmission tunnels need not commence or, depending on the direction, terminate at the same point of a data transmission network. In addition, the data transmission installations present in a ring-shaped data transmission topology need not necessarily be taught routing information in order to enable each of these data transmission installations to send data transmission frames to be transmitted to another one of these data transmission installations.

    • The present invention provides an Ethernet ring system, transit node of Ethernet ring system, and initialization method thereof, wherein the method includes the following steps: step 1, generating a transit node of Ethernet ring protection domain by means of ring nodes; step 2, detecting the link state of two ring ports by means of the transit node: if neither of the two ring ports is detected as in-fault, then recording ring the link state as initialization state, blocking at least one of the ring ports, setting the at least one blocked port in prerelease state, and sending a ring state query packet to a master node, by means of the transit node; step 3, when the ring state query packet is received, sending a ring state packet recorded by the master node to the ring port that receives the ring state query packet, by means of the master node; and step 4, checking whether the ring state packet sent by the master node have been received by the transit node of which the ring state is the initialization state; if so, unblocking the blocked port in the prerelease state, to realize initialization of the transit node.
