摘要： The present disclosure discloses a method and device for image encoding and a method and device for image decoding. The present disclosure relates to the field of image processing and may solve a technical issue of inflexible image encoding. The particular technical solution comprises: acquiring a first image; compressing the first image to generate a second image, a resolution of the second image is lower than that of the first image; encoding the second image to generate a first bit stream; determining a parameter corresponding to the first image from a parameter database, the parameter corresponds to detail information of the first image; generating a second bit stream according to the parameter; and combining the first bit stream and the second bit stream into a transmission bit stream. The present disclosure may be used for image encoding.

Scaling factors and clip bit widths determined for a particular transpose buffer size and the expected transform sizes are used to reduce the size of the intermediate results of applying the 2D separable transform. The reduced bit widths of the intermediate results may vary across the intermediate results. In some embodiments, the scaling factors and associated clip bit widths may be adapted during encoding.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for compressing and decompressing image data by producing two sets of reduced size image data, generating a modulation value for each elementary of the area from the image data, the modulation value encoding information about how to combine the sets of reduced size image data to generate an approximation to the image. In one arrangement, a set of index values is generated corresponding to a set of modulation values for each of the respective elementary areas of a group of elementary areas and these are assigned to each respective group and a second set of index values corresponding to one of the set of first index values for each elementary areas is assigned to each first group of elementary areas. These index values are stored for use in deriving modulation data more accurately when decompressing the image data.
