    • A generator apparatus can provide generated power fit for a connected battery, and even if a load voltage is not within a suitable range, when the load voltage is a certain level or more, the generator can provide power. A selector 25 selects a target voltage for controlling the output voltage of a rectifier 2. An output controller 34 controls the rectifier 2 according to the target. A load judgment section 35 judges the terminal voltage of a battery 19. When the terminal voltage is within an allowable range with respect to the target value, permission for output is given to the output controller 34. When the load voltage is not within the allowable range, an alarm is raised. Even when the alarm is raised, if a load voltage develops which is not less than a predetermined voltage lower than the allowable range, the battery 19 can be charged by forced-output.

    • A control system for a vehicular generator is provided which can be simplified in construction as the entire system to achieve cost reduction by using only a single control terminal that takes in a control signal from outside and by employing the control signal composed of only three kinds of signals. The system includes a generator 2 having an armature coil 202 and a field coil 201, a battery 4 to be charged by a power generation voltage, and a control circuit 1A that adjusts the power generation voltage by controlling to turn a field current supplied to the field coil 201 on and off in accordance with a battery voltage. A single control terminal C is provided on the control circuit 1A, and an external control unit 5 is connected to the control terminal C. The external control unit 5 supplies either one of a ground signal, an open signal and a pull-up signal to the control terminal C as a control signal in accordance with the battery voltage and an operating condition of the vehicle. The control circuit 1A interrupts the field current to stop power generation in response to the ground signal, adjust the power generation voltage to a first control voltage for normal time in response to the open signal, and adjusts the power generation voltage to a second control voltage higher than the first control voltage in response to the pull-up signal.

    • An output control device of a generation device including: a rectifier circuit that rectifies an output of an AC generator and applies the output across a battery; an inverter circuit provided between the battery and the generator; inverter control means for controlling the inverter circuit to convert a voltage across the battery into an AC control voltage and apply the voltage to an armature winding of the generator; and phase detection means for detecting a phase of a phase current flowing through the armature winding of the generator as a maximum output current phase, wherein the inverter control means is comprised to control a phase of the AC control voltage so as not to be delayed with respect to the maximum output current phase, and thus prevent a reduction in the output of the generator caused by an excessive delay of the phase of the AC control voltage.
