    • A heat-dissipating fan includes a housing, a stator, a rotor and at least one retaining member. The stator and rotor are received inside the housing. The rotor includes an impeller having a plurality of blades. The at least one retaining member is removably mounted to the housing and includes a retaining plate. In an axial direction of the rotor, the retaining plate extends to be above and within a rotational area of the blades to retain the rotor to avoid departure of the rotor from the housing, even if the heat-dissipating fan is hit hard while it is packed, moved, transported or operating. Besides, the arrangement of the retaining member won't result in reduction of air input. Consequently, the retaining member can be quickly mounted to the housing at a predetermined position to enhance convenience of assembly.

    • A brushless DC motor includes a base, a stator, a rotor, and a leak flux absorber. The base couples with the rotor. The stator has a coil module and is mounted on the base. The rotor has a shaft and a permanent magnet, with the rotor coupling with the base through the shaft. A gap is axially formed between the permanent magnet and the coil module. Also, the leak flux absorber is disposed around the coil module and is adjacent to, partially in, or totally in the gap. Consequently, a leak flux generated by the permanent magnet, which does not pass through the coil module, is absorbed by the leak flux absorber and forms close magnetic flux paths, so that high-frequency noise in operation is thus lowered.

    • A miniature blower fan includes an axial seat and a shaft extending from a central portion of the axial seat. A plurality of vanes and a magnet are mounted to an outer circumferential wall of the axial seat. The vanes extend radially outward from the outer circumferential wall of the axial seat and are spaced at regular intervals. The miniature blower fan further includes a casing having an air inlet. The vanes have a thickness larger than 30% of an overall height of the vanes and the magnet. In another embodiment, a web extends radially outward from the outer circumferential wall of the axial seat, the vanes are mounted to a side of the web, and the magnet is mounted to the other side of the web. The vanes have a thickness larger than 30% of an overall height of the web, the vanes, and the magnet.

    • A check valve for fluid includes a tubular member, a cap, and a flexible membrane. The tubular member includes a coupling section and an inlet. The coupling section of the tubular member includes a valve portion, an end face, and a positioning rod. The cap includes a coupling section coupled with the coupling section of the tubular member, an outlet aligned with the valve port, and a positioning rod on the outlet of the cap. The flexible membrane includes a positioning portion securely sandwiched between the positioning rods. The flexible membrane further includes a sealing circumference. When fluid flows in a reverse direction, the flexible membrane seals the valve port and the sealing circumference of the flexible membrane is supported by the end face of the tubular member. When the fluid flows in a forward direction, the flexible membrane is bent to allow the fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet.

    • A DC brushless motor structure comprises a cylinder-like base having a through-hole or a chamber. The through-hole acts as an axle hole for rotatably receiving a shaft of a rotor. Alternatively, the shaft of the rotor is rotatably received in the chamber. An axle hole is defined in an end of the base. Another axle hole is defined in a lid attached to an end of the base. The shaft of the rotor is rotatably received in the axle holes. At least two sets of windings are mounted to the base. Also mounted to the base is an IC control member electrically connected to the windings. A magnetic force is generated by a magnetic field that is created as a result of energizing the windings to thereby repulse the permanent magnet of the rotor having a north pole and a south pole, thereby driving the rotor to turn.

    • An easy-to-start structure for a D.C. brushless motor comprises a base including a through-hole. Plural windings and an IC control member are mounted to the base. At least one magnetically attractive positioning member is mounted to the base and located between two windings that are adjacent to each other. A rotor comprises a shaft rotatably held by a support section in the through-hole and a permanent ring magnet mounted to the shaft, the permanent ring magnet having north and south poles, each of the south pole and the north pole having a strong magnetic area. The positioning member attracts and thus retains one of the strong magnetic areas of the permanent ring magnet in a position proximal to the positioning member when the rotor stops. Thus, the rotor rests in a pre-determined position not located in a dead corner for restarting.

    • A direct current brushless motor includes a base having a receiving chamber whose one end is combined with a cover plate. The other end of the receiving chamber and the cover plate each have a shaft hole, for pivoting the rotation shaft of the rotor. A film printed circuit is mounted on the periphery of the base. The film printed circuit has at least two coil sets, a set of Hall sensing drive member, and a connecting end for connection with a power supply. The coil sets are oppositely distributed on the periphery of the base in an equally angular manner with the receiving chamber serving as a center. After the coil sets are energized, the multiple coil sets and the permanent magnet ring of the rotor may produce mutually repulsive forces, so that the rotor may be driven to rotate successively.
