摘要： This invention relates to a method and apparatus for encoding video signals using prediction information of an intra mode block of a sub-layer and decoding the encoded video data accordingly. The method encodes a video signal in a scalable MCTF scheme to output a bit stream of an enhanced layer, and simultaneously encodes the video signal using a pre-determined method to output a bit stream of a base layer. When the video signal is encoded in the MCTF schemes, an image block included in an arbitrary frame of the video signal is coded as an intra mode using pixels adjacent to the image block, in the basis of prediction information of the corresponding block coded as the intra mode, the corresponding block being included in a bit stream of the base layer and corresponding to the image block.

摘要： A B picture mode determining method and apparatus in a video coding system includes the steps of: setting sum of absolute difference (SAD) initial values of a 4×4 and 16×16 intra prediction mode, a forward prediction mode, a backward prediction mode, a bi-directional prediction mode and a direct prediction mode; calculating the SAD values of each mode; and selecting a mode having the smallest SAD value from the SAD values of the modes as a prediction mode for a B picture coding. A penalty value in consideration of the overhead bit of each mode is set as an SAD initial value, and especially, in order for the direct mode to be selected for the flat regions having the zero motions, the SAD initial value of the direct mode is set as −16×QP0(QP), so that the bit rate is considerably reduced and the coding performance of image information can be improved.

摘要： Disclosed are an intra prediction method of a chrominance block using a luminance sample and an apparatus using the same. An image decoding method comprises the steps of: calculating an intra prediction mode of a chrominance block on the basis of an LM mapping table when the chrominance block uses an LM; and generating a prediction block for the chrominance block on the basis of the calculated intra prediction mode of the chrominance block. When intra prediction mode information of chrominance blocks are decoded, mutually different tables are used depending on whether or not an LM is used, so that encoding and decoding can be performed without an unnecessary waste of bits.

摘要： A boundary intra coding flag is obtained according to a current macroblock type. When the boundary intra coding flag indicates that the current macroblock is coded in an intra prediction mode using boundary intra coding, boundary coding information is obtained, and a boundary in the current macroblock is induced based on the boundary coding information. Therefore, the regions divided by the boundary can be coded in the intra prediction mode. The accuracy of a predicted pixel value can be improved by performing the intra prediction for regions divided by the boundary. Accordingly, the residual data transmitted to a decoder can be reduced.

摘要： The present invention relates to a video signal decoding method for adding an intra prediction mode as a sub-macroblock type to prediction of a macroblock in coding a video signal. The present invention includes obtaining a macroblock type, when a macroblock includes the intra prediction coded sub-macroblock and the inter prediction coded sub-macroblock based on the macroblock type, obtaining prediction mode flag information indicating whether the sub-macroblock is the intra prediction coded or the inter prediction coded, and obtaining a prediction value of the sub-macroblock based on the prediction mode flag information. Accordingly, the present invention is able to raise coding efficiency of video signal by adding an intra prediction mode as a sub-macroblock type in predicting a macroblock.
