    • A universal adapter for a toner cartridge enables a single toner cartridge to be used with printers made by different manufacturers and differing printer models made by a common manufacturer. The toner cartridge includes a waste bin having a leading end that is sculpted to mate with the cartridge-receiving cavities of a large number of printers. Additional improvements include an improved planar having a common thickness along its extent, the elimination of a pivotal motion between the waste bin and the hopper, an enhanced interconnection between the waste bin and the hopper, improved ergonomics along a trailing edge of the waste bin to facilitate its handling, a structure that prevents mounting of a circuit board over a host circuit board, reduced friction media guide ribs, an improved circuit board mounting pad, and a microswitch actuating tab that functions even in a printer with worn hinges and latches.

    • A method and system of synchronizing multiple tracking devices in a geo-location receiver system comprising: receiving a first plurality of geo-location signals with a first tracking device; and receiving a second plurality of geo-location signals with a second tracking device. The method also includes: enabling the first tracking device as either a master tracking device or a master-with-mark tracking device; enabling the second tracking device to operate as a slave tracking device; the master tracking device generates and transmits a timing signal to the slave tracking device; and the master-with-mark tracking device is configured to receive an external input for synchronization and generates and transmits a timing signal to the slave tracking device. The method also includes acquiring the first plurality of geo-location signals and the second plurality of geo-location signals at a substantially simultaneous instant of time.

    • Translation of PCI level interrupts into packet based messages for edge event drive microprocessors includes, a bridge device receiving interrupts via an interrupt line from one or more PCI devices. The bridge device further sends an interrupt write packet to a CPU to launch the interrupt routine. The interrupt routine services the interrupt and the PCI device negates the interrupt line. At this point, the CPU generates a non-blocking write. This write causes the bridge to check the level of the PCI interrupt line. If the line is active with the interrupt, another write packet is sent, otherwise the interrupt line is negated and the blocking write is ignored. As a result, the present invention prevents an interrupt from a PCI device from being overlooked, from being missed, or from repeating the interrupt by a microprocessor. Also the present subject matter includes an error detection and containment system, which upon receiving a write packet from a PCI device via a PCI bus, the bridge device checks, encodes with source information, and flags the write requests having errors. Then a memory controller coupled to the bridge device receives the write requests and suppresses all write requests and disables all future write requests and interrupts coming from that PCI device having error. As a result, the present invention further prevents the write requests and interrupts from an invalid PCI device from corrupting the memory, to prevent the computer entering an unrecoverable state.

    • Computer implemented training exercises present stimuli to a user and receive responses by the user to the stimuli. The stimuli are specifically selected to challenge and improve a cognitive ability of the user, e.g., the ability to perceive and understand spoken language. As a result, the stimuli cannot be changed or adapted to motivate the user through entertainment. Motivation is therefore provided by periodic reward animations which include persistent plots and characters. Progress indicators represent progress toward reward animations and represent such progression with smooth, entertaining progress animations. Randomly appearing animations and variations in rewards and immediate feedback add to the surprise and curiosity of the user and motivate further correct responses to see further random animations and variations. Progress indicators also represent a relation between the number of steps taking toward completion of a task and a maximum number of steps which should be needed to complete the task. Context is changed at achievement milestones to indicate progress to the user.
