摘要： In embodiments, the present invention relates to a method of producing a multilayered printed item, comprising: (a) providing a coating of curable composition comprising a polymer powder, at least one plasticizer, and at least one monomer and/or oligomer, onto the substrate or a thereon previously applied layer or coating; (b) heating the curable coating composition to a temperature of about 70-120° C., to provide a gelled curable coating; (c) providing a coating of curable composition comprising a polymer powder, at least one plasticizer, and at least one monomer and/or oligomer, onto the previously applied layer or coating; (d) heating the other curable as above, to provide second gelled curable coating; (e) before crosslinking is performed, the multilayer-coated substrate formed is heated to a temperature of about 130-160° C.; and (f) crosslinking the heated multilayer-coated substrate, by irradiation and/or subjection to heat at a temperature of about 165-190° C.

摘要： A polymerizable composition includes at least one monomer, a photoinitiator capable of initiating polymerization of the monomer when exposed to light, and a phosphor capable of producing light when exposed to radiation (typically X-rays). The material is particularly suitable for bonding components at ambient temperature in situations where the bond joint is not accessible to an external light source. An associated method includes: placing a polymerizable adhesive composition, including a photoinitiator and energy converting material, such as a down-converting phosphor, in contact with at least two components to be bonded to form an assembly; and, irradiating the assembly with radiation at a first wavelength, capable of conversion (down-conversion by the phosphor) to a second wavelength capable of activating the photoinitiator, to prepare items such as inkjet cartridges, wafer-to-wafer assemblies, semiconductors, integrated circuits, and the like.

摘要： Waterproof urethane-based adhesive compositions are described herein. Silane is reacted with prepolymer urethane to at least partially end-cap the urethane. A reinforcing extender, a thixotropic agent, a magnetic agent, a first catalyst, and methylethylketoximino (MEKO) silane are also added to the composition to form the deactivated adhesive composition. Prior to coating a substrate with the adhesive, a second catalyst is added. The second catalyst speeds up the curing time and improves the shelf life of the moisture cure adhesive. The adhesive is cured to a final product that is waterproof, hydrolytically stable, and pH resistant.

摘要： Single phase cosmetic adhesive compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43° C. for example. The adhesive compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable for long wear without adhesive failure. Adhesive compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Adhesive compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The adhesive compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, lips, hair and nails, particularly to secure strips of false eyelashes and eyebrows, as well as individual lash and brow extensions. Cosmetic adhesives of the present invention may also be used to affix glitter or extensions to skin, hair, lips, or nails, and other cosmetic products to keratinic surfaces.
