摘要： A stabilizer formulation particularly well suited for improving the properties of thermoplastic polymers is disclosed. The stabilizer formulation contains a combination of stabilizers that improves the process stability of a polymer, prevents the polymer from yellowing, increases the thermal aging stability of the polymer and inhibits the polymer from generating smoke during melt processing. Of particular advantage, the stabilizer formulation improves the stability of a polymer without significantly adversely affecting any other properties of the polymer. In one embodiment, the stabilizer formulation includes a hindered amine, a hydroxyl amine, and one or more hydrolytically resistant phosphites. In one embodiment, the formulation can further contain an acid scavenger for preventing an acid contained within the polymer or produced during processing from harming the polymer.

The processes involving the improved compositions exhibit reduced levels of screen pack plugging during fiber and film extrusion processes than that achieved with fatty acid salts, such as calcium stearate.

摘要： A lactide polymer composition combining compositional and purity limitations and catalyst optimization or addition of stabilizing agents resulting in a melt-stable polymer is disclosed. The melt-stable lactide polymer comprises a plurality of polylactide polymer chains, residual lactide in concentration of less than 2 percent and water in concentration of less than 1000 parts-per-million. A stabilizing agent in an amount sufficient to reduce depolymerization of the lactide polymer during melt-processing or alternatively, control of catalyst level at a molar ratio of monomer to catalyst greater than 3000:1 is also included in the melt-stable composition. A process for manufacture of a melt-stable lactide polymer composition includes polymerizing a lactide mixture and adding stabilizing agents sufficient to reduce depolymerization of the polylactide during melt-processing, followed by devolatilizing the polylactide to remove monomer and water.

摘要： A fire retardant polyester resin composition comprising (A) 95 to 30 parts by weight of a polyester resin and (B) 5.0 to 70 parts by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin and/or polyphenylene sulfide resin, and, for 100 parts by weight in total of the components (A) and (B), (C) 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of a compatibilizing agent, (D) 2.0 to 45 parts by weight of a phosphoric ester compound or phosphonitrile compound, (E) 0 to 150 parts by weight of a reinforcing filler, (F) 0.001 to 15 parts by weight of an anti-dripping agent, (G) 0 to 45 parts by weight of a melamine cyanurate, and (H) 0 to 15 parts by weight of a polystyrene resin having epoxy group, provided that the amount of the component (G) is from 0.5 to 45 parts by weight for 100 parts by weight in total of the components (A) and (B) when the amount of the component (B) is less than 35 parts by weight. The polyester resin composition scarcely corrodes a metal mold when it is molded, and is excellent in fire retardancy.
