摘要： An extended stator core in a motor/generator can be utilized to mitigate losses in end regions of the core and a frame of the motor/generator. To mitigate the losses, the stator core can be extended to a length substantially equivalent to or greater than a length of a magnetically active portion in the rotor. Alternatively, a conventional length stator core can be utilized with a shortened magnetically active portion to mitigate losses in the motor/generator. To mitigate the losses in the core caused by stator winding, the core can be extended to a length substantially equivalent or greater than a length of stator winding.

摘要： An electric motor has an armature and a stators. The armature has a lamination stack having slots therein. An internal shaft extends coaxially through the lamination stack. A plurality of magnet wires are wound in the slots of the lamination stack. A commutator is disposed on the armature shaft to which ends of the magnet wires are electrically coupled. The internal is shaft coupled to an external pinion and bearing journal by an insulated coupling. The magnet wires are at least partially encased in thermally conductive plastic. The magnet wires can have a layer of heat activated adhesive that is activated when the plastic is molded. Slots in the lamination stack can include slot liners formed of thermally conductive plastic. A fan can be formed when the thermally conductive plastic is molded to encapsulate the magnet wires. A power tool has the electric motor.

摘要： A stator for a motor includes a stator core, an insulator, and coils. The stator core includes an annular portion and teeth, which extend radially from the annular portion. The stator core is divided into core segments in the circumferential direction. Each core segment has an arcuate portion and one of the teeth, which extends from the arcuate portion. The insulator insulates each coil wound around one of the teeth from the stator core. The insulator includes coupling portions at positions corresponding to the circumferential ends of the arcuate portions. Each coupling portion couples the adjacent core segments to be rotatable relative to each other. The insulator facilitates manufacture of the stator.

A cap having a flat undersurface overlies the flattened end windings and an enclosure ring extends about the end windings and cap. Apertures are formed through the cap in communication with gaps between the coils of the end windings and passageways formed along the outer surface of the cap. The passageways and apertures form ventilation paths for a cooling medium flowing through the end windings outwardly into the air gap between the rotor body and stator.

摘要： A stepping motor being a motor used in oil includes a coil formed with a conductor coated with an outer coating and wound around a bobbin, and coil terminals electrically connected to the conductor at ends thereof led out from the coil, the outer coating being removed from the conductor at the ends thereof. The coil terminals are coated with a protective film made of a material having low permeability to elemental sulfur and sulfur compounds. Therefore, coil terminals and ends of the conductor are prevented from erosion by sulfur and organic sulfur compounds, thereby reducing risk of disconnection in the coil terminals and the conductor.

摘要： A rotating electric machine comprises: a stator including a stator iron core having a plurality of slots and a stator winding incorporated in the plurality of slots; and a rotor rotatably disposed in the stator via a clearance; wherein a mold (i.e., a slot insulator) made of an insulating resin is brought into close contact with the surface of a projection (i.e., a tooth core) of the stator iron core, formed between the adjacent slots, the thickness of the mold at a portion of the projection wound with the stator winding being smaller than that of the mold at other portions. Thus, it is possible to provide the rotating electric machine in which thermal resistance generated between the stator winding and the stator iron core can be reduced, thermal transmittance of heat generated in the stator winding to the stator iron core can be enhanced, and the cooling efficiency of the stator winding can be enhanced.
