    • A compact magnetic tape cassette suitable for digital recording in which dust is prevented from entering the cassette and contaminating the tape held therein. Slide grooves are formed in upper and lower walls of the case of the cassette, behind a central opening and side openings on either side of the central opening. Slidable guard panels which slide to close the central opening and the side openings and which are substantially U shaped in section have slides which are engaged with the slide grooves. Each of the guard panels has a through-hole in the front wall thereof which is slidable to open the respective side opening when the guard panels are urged against compression springs arranged on side portions of the front wall of the cassette case. The cassette is symmetrical in configuration.

    • This invention provides a method for activating peroxides, particularly hydrogen peroxide or hydrogen peroxide adducts and for thereby furnishing the said peroxides with excellent bleaching effects, cleaning effects, and sterilizing effects at low temperatures, by adding to the said peroxides an aromatic compound containing in the molecule one or several groups represented by the formula ##EQU1## wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent aromatic group and X is either CO or SO.sub.2. The activation according to this invention is preferably carried out in an aqueous solution at a pH value ranging from 7 to 11, at a temperature below 40.degree.C.

    • A 3D image capture device includes: a light transmitting member 2 with polarizing areas and a non-polarizing area; a solid-state image sensor 1 for receiving the light transmitted through the member 2; an imaging section 3 for producing an image on the imaging area 1a of the sensor 1; and an image generating section.
