The relative merits of the attribute information, which is information relating to the data of the musical composition, is changed in accordance with the user's operational information, and selection is performed in accordance with the relative merits of the attribute information, whereby it is possible, with the user's simple operation, to reproduce only the musical composition which is desired to be listened to.
