摘要： Disclosed are improved styrene-butadiene (SBR) core-alkyl acrylate/methacrylate shell-polymer compositions and an improved process for applying patterns to textiles by screen printing employing these polymer compositions as binders. The process for preparing the improved polymers is also set forth. The core comprises an SBR copolymer which contains an antioxidant and is at least partially encased by an integral shell of a copolymer of an alkyl acrylate or methacrylate which is formed by copolymerization with an ultraviolet light stabilizer. When used as binders for screen printing, these compositions produce textiles which exhibit a desirable combination of crock fastness, cyclic aging and hand properties.

摘要： An aqueous sizing composition having a cationic lubricant, amide compound, and cationic silicone polymer aqueous emulsion which is used to produce wet chopped sized glass fiber strands or which also has a film former to produce continuous glass fiber strands. The moisture content of the wet chopped glass fiber strands is controlled to within about 9 to about 20 weight percent. The sized wet chopped glass fiber strands have good flowability and when used to produce non-woven glass fiber strand mat, produces mat with good flexibility and tensile strength.

摘要： Metals such as copper and the transition elements may give rise to serious problems in conventional rubber based solid propellant binders. These metals may accelerate the curing action to such a degree that the pot life of the freshly mixed propellant is reduced. Also the metals may promote oxidative degradation of cured and uncured binder systems. These undesirable effects can be prevented by adding to the uncured binder certain binder soluble agents which are capable of forming stable complexes with the undesirable metals in which the valence of the metal ion is fixed. A wide variety of chelating agents can be used and include, particularly, the condensation products of salicylaldehyde with aliphatic di- and polyamines and with o-aminophenols.
