摘要： Plastic fencing has a plurality of openings therein and one or more strips of reflective tape applied to one or both sides of the fencing to make the fencing more visible under poor lighting conditions as when used as a visual warning barrier around construction sites and the like. To secure the reflective tape to the fencing, the reflective tape is adhered to one side of the fencing in overlying relation to some of the openings therein, and to a plastic backing applied to the opposite side in line with the reflective tape through the openings in the fencing.

摘要： A motor-vehicle gate assembly for a driveway includes, in addition to the gate and an actuator for opening and closing the gate, a secondary barrier operable in response to operation of the gate to prevent motor-vehicle access to the gate when the latter is closed and to permit access to the gate when the latter is open. The barrier may be a flexible line which extends across the driveway and which is movable between a raised position above the driveway and a lowered position in a gutter in the surface of the driveway. Movement of the barrier between its raised and lower positions can be effected by a mechanical connection between the barrier and the gate.

摘要： A rodent pest infestation prevention assembly includes a wall for surrounding a predetermined area so as to enclose items, a plurality of top and bottom slits in the wall for making interlocking connection with one another for fastening end portions of the wall together so as to make the wall a substantially continuous structure about an item, and at least one holder member for maintaining the wall in an upright position. The wall may also have a plurality of spaced apart holes formed therein. At least one mateable bolt and nut combination are installed through aligned holes to secure overlapped end portions of the wall to one another and thereby serve the same function as the top and bottom slits of the wall. Each holder member has a base and a pair of elongated pegs. The base has a transverse groove and a pair of recessed holes on adjacent opposite sides of the groove. The groove is for receiving a bottom edge of the wall therein. Each recessed hole receives and retains a peg therein in a substantially upright position. The pegs together form a narrow space for receiving the wall therebetween in the upright position.

摘要： Lightweight, easily handled safety barriers are commonly erected around swimming pools to save small children from accidental drowning. Prior art barriers are made of a number of flexible panels attached to poles that are inserted into partially sleeved receptacles. The degree of protection offered by such a fence is improved by the provision of interlocking poles and receptacles. In a preferred embodiment, each pole has a key at its lower end and each sleeve has a keyway through which a corresponding pole's key can be inserted. When the barrier is erected each panel is drawn taut, which rotates all but one pole of a section into a locked orientation. The remaining pole, which is at an end of the section, is rotated into a locked orientation by latching it to an end pole of an adjacent section of the barrier.
