    • A microwave directional coupler comprises a dielectric coupler board, elongate metallic strip conductors deposited on front and back surfaces of the board and having respective central portions electrically broadside coupled with each other through the board, and respective right and left hand lead portions terminating in ports at the bottom of the board. Metallic ground plane regions cooperate with those strip conductors to form corresponding microwave transmission lines comprising respective signal conductors provided by said strip conductors and respective grounded conductors provided by said regions. The ground plane regions are in the form of expanses of metallic layers deposited on the same surfaces of the board as are such strip conductors. Ground plane regions on opposite sides of the board are electrically connected by plated-through holes passing through the board. The coupler board is vertical and stands on a dielectric connector board having metallic strips thereon for connecting the strip conductors to external circuit elements.

    • In a high frequency parallel strip line cable including a pair of thin-film-shaped earth conductors formed on both surfaces of a dielectric body so as to oppose to each other, a thin-film-shaped center conductor is formed in the dielectric body so as to be located between the pair of earth conductors, and the connector part is formed in one end of the high frequency parallel strip line cable so as to expose one end of the center conductor. Further, a connector is provided for connecting with the connector part of the high frequency parallel strip line cable. In the connector, a connection concave for inserting the connector part is formed in a dielectric case. An elastic center conductor terminal for electrically connecting to the center conductor of the high frequency parallel strip line cable is mounted in the dielectric case so as to extend into the connection concave, and at least one elastic earth conductor terminal for electrically connecting to at least one of the earth conductors of the high frequency parallel strip line cable is mounted in the dielectric case so as to extend into the connection concave.

    • The coaxial connector disclosed herein accommodates differential expansion between inner and outer conductors in a multi-section run of coaxial transmission line by utilizing a coupler assembly which connects adjacent inner conductors, one of the inner conductors being fixedly connected to the coupler with axial movement being permitted with respect to the other inner conductor. Electrical connection between the coupler and the movable conductor is established at a single axial position by an annular conductive spring member while longitudinal alignment is maintained over the rest of the length of the coupler by insulating rings set into annular grooves. A tubular shield extends from the coupler over the adjacent end of the movable inner conductor without electrical contact. The axial length of the shield is larger than the differential expansion which occurs between inner and outer conductor sections. The shield masks the gap at end of the movable inner conductor which is otherwise variable with differential expansion and thereby minimizes the changes in impedance at the connector.
