摘要： A ratchet strap tensioning mechanism includes a barrel defining an axis of rotation and a body and a handle coupled via the barrel. Each of the body, handle and barrel is independently rotatable about the axis of rotation. At least one ratchet gear wheel is mounted to the barrel at a position between a portion of the body and the handle. A driver rotatably drives the at least one ratchet gear wheel about the axis of rotation and a pawl restricts rotation of the at last one ratchet gear wheel about the axis of rotation. A force indicating device is connected to at least one of the body and the handle. The force indicating device is operable to indicate to a user when a predetermined force is applied to the ratchet strap tensioning mechanism.

摘要： A protective cover for an object being transported in an airstream comprises a flexible cover member adapted to cover the object. The cover has front and rear ends, a top, two sides, and a bottom providing an opening to fit over the object. The cover member also has at least one exhaust aperture intermediate its ends with a venting member disposed over it. The bottom of the cover member is seated around the periphery of the object to reduce the airflow thereinto. The venting member has a base portion secured to the cover member about the aperture, and a body portion extending outwardly therefrom. The body portion has a closed end oriented towards the front end of the cover member and an open end disposed toward the rear end of the cover member. The body portion also provides a passage from the aperture to the open end, whereby negative air pressure is created at the open end by the flow of the airstream over the venting member and air is exhausted from the interior of the cover to cause the cover to seat snugly about the surface of the object about which it is fitted.
