摘要： An automated traffic control process and system providing automatic remote monitoring the locations of one or more remote vehicles, determining which vehicles fall within one or more preference categories, and if a vehicle in a particular preference category is detected as approaching a remote intersection, issuing a preemption instruction to a traffic signal controller for the remote intersection. Various other process and system features can include one or more among: monitoring numerous vehicles and intersections, vehicle location monitoring, categorization, and issuance of preemption instructions on a centralized computing system; safety or other condition assessment and control of issuance of signaling instructions accordingly; determination of whether one or more the traffic intersection signaling controller should be operating according to one among differing hierarchical condition categories, and issuance of instructions causing remote traffic signaling to lock in a particular state, such as, for example in a right of way state.

摘要： A thermostatic mixing valve unit in an emergency wash unit has an integrated housing with cold and hot water inlets each having an associated check valve, and a tempered water discharge having a thermostat for cold/hot water mixing to provide a predetermined tempered water discharge. A high temperature limit valve responds to the water discharge temperature to permit or prevent hot water inflow when the water discharge exceeds a preset temperature. A cold water bypass valve is coupled by a diverter valve to the lower of the cold and hot water supply pressures to maintain a substantial water discharge flow when the high temperature limit valve restricts hot water flow or when the hot water check valve is stuck closed, or upon failure of the cold water supply as by sticking of the cold water check valve in a closed position or by a clogged filter screen.

摘要： A dual seal tube fitting is provided for quick and easy, substantially leak-free coupling with plastic tubing or the like in a water supply application, such as in a drinking fountain or the like. A reinforcing metal sleeve is slidably received into the end of a length of tubing which is then slidably received into a central bore of a fitting body having a resilient seal ring seated therein for sealingly engaging an outer diameter surface of the tubing. A compression ring is slidably received onto the tubing in a position over a portion of the internal sleeve therein, and is compressibly retained between the tubing and a fitting body seal face by a compression nut threaded onto the fitting body. The resilient seal ring thus provides a primary seal preventing leakage between the tubing and fitting body, whereas the compression ring provides a secondary seal.

摘要： An emergency eyewash unit includes a pair of water discharge ports oriented to produce a pair of upwardly directed, diverging water streams for inside-out flush flow of contaminants from a person's eyes. These eyewash streams can be combined with a plurality of smaller upwardly directed facewash streams for flushing contaminants from a person's face. The eyewash and/or facewash streams are produced by an eyewash body adapted for rotatable mounting onto a water supply conduit, with a locking clip normally preventing undesired rotational disassembly. The eyewash body may be used in combination with an overhead emergency shower which, in one preferred form, includes a shower spray head carrying multiple flow control and flow shaper elements to produce a substantially uniformly dispersed shower spray pattern.
