    • A method for determining a capacity of a virtual machine configured as a telephony device in a VoIP system includes determining a resource configuration of the virtual machine including a number of CPU cores, a CPU clock rate, or a memory size. The virtual machine may be configured as a trunk, conference bridge, phone switch, session border controller, router, or another device in the VoIP system. The method also includes sending the resource configuration from the virtual machine to a VoIP system configuration application. The VoIP system configuration application may be an application running on the virtual machine or an application running on a server separate from the virtual machine. At the VoIP system configuration application, a capacity of the virtual machine is determined based on the resource configuration. The capacity determines a number and type of telephony features supported by the telephony device in the VoIP system.

    • A system, method and graphical user interface for determining a speaker's position and a generating a display showing the position of the speaker. In one embodiment, the system comprises a first speakerphone system and a second speakerphone system communicatively coupled to send and receive data. The speakerphone system comprises a display, an input device, a microphone array, a speaker, and a position processing module. The position processing module is coupled to receive acoustic signals from the microphone array. The position processing module uses these acoustic signals to determine a position of the speaker. The position information is then sent to other speakerphone system for presentation on the display.

The system includes a server with a telephony management software (TMS) unit, a telephony application programming interface (TAPI) unit, and an application unit. The application unit includes a control module, a function module, a filter module, a presentation module, a phone interface module, and a storage interface module. A server sends a signal to a phone regarding the contents of a directory. A server also enables a user to navigate through the directory, filter the directory, and perform call functions on phone numbers associated with directory entries.
