Medical libraries are attached and specialized rules are applied to augment service descriptors from chargemasters with supplementary medical information. A computer processor is configured to execute a text-based classifier and/or textual similarity metric to accurately associate service descriptors to national billing coding equivalents for service descriptors from different health providers. The disclosed embodiments form a comprehensive list of service descriptors grouped by national billing code equivalents and by textual similarity.

摘要： In some embodiments, a microsurgical instrument includes a trocar having a rigid, hollow shaft formed with a lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end of the shaft. The distal end of the shaft may be shaped for tissue penetration. The instrument may further include a composite microcannula slidably engaged with the trocar in the lumen. The microcannula includes a light guide and a flexible hollow tube having an outer diameter less than an inner diameter of the lumen in the trocar. Other embodiments include placing the microcannula in the lumen of the trocar, illuminating the end of the trocar by illuminating the end of the microcannula, advancing the trocar from a selected entry point on an eye into a selected structure in the eye, and extending the illuminated end of the microcannula from the trocar into the selected structure.

摘要： Intervertebral discs are avascular. Oxygen, nutrients and bicarbonate diffuse from capillaries in cartilaginous endplates into discs to feed and maintain disc cells. As we age, calcified layers form at the endplates, blocking and occluding capillaries. Diffusion zones of oxygen and nutrients in disc become shallow. Cells in mid-layer of the disc suffer chronic anaerobic and starving conditions. Lactic acid is produced. Disc cells die from starvation, causing disc degeneration and forming fissures in annulus. Lactic acid leaks from fissures to the outer annulus of the disc to cause irritation, inflammation and persistent pain. Spirals of filament are implanted into the painful and degenerating disc to draw oxygen, nutrients and bicarbonate from the shallow diffusion zones of the cartilaginous endplates into the mid-layer of the degenerating disc. Oxygen inhibits anaerobic production of lactic acid; nutrients feed disc cells to halt disc degeneration; bicarbonate neutralizes lactic acid in the mid-layer to relieve pain.

In the present invention, the downward force resulting from the weight of the equipment results in static friction between the saddle brace and the cylindrical support post that is sufficient to hold the equipment surface at a desired height. The height adjustable support may be implemented into hygienically designed food processing equipment to eliminate undesirable bacteria harboring surfaces and to improve height adjustability of the equipment.
