    • Disclosed are systems, methods and devices, including a method that includes receiving information about one or more transactions, each transaction including a respective sale of at least one first item selected by a customer and an offer of cross-sale of at least one second item offered to the customer, the information about each of the transactions including information about an outcome of the respective offer of cross-sales. The method further includes determining effectiveness measures based on the received information, with each of the effectiveness measures being associated with at least one of a plurality of combinations of at least one purchasable item and a corresponding offer of cross-sale of at least another purchasable item. The effectiveness measures are representative of a likelihood of the corresponding offer of the cross-sale being accepted when offered in combination with the respective at least one purchasable item.

    • A wireless data transmission system incorporates a process sensor providing an output for process monitoring data with a transmitter connected to the output of the sensor and transmitting the data in time gated intervals. A receiver receives the data from the transmitter and a determination is made if new data is received at a gated time interval. A processor connected to the receiver calculates process parameters based on the data received and a set of the calculated process parameters is stored. The processor estimates process parameters based on the stored set of calculated process parameters responsive to a signal from the determination that data packets have not been received at the gated interval. The process parameters front actual data, if present, or from the estimates made by the processor are then output for process control. A counter responsive to the determination of lost data, provides an emergency stop signal upon reaching a predetermined number of counts.

    • A data center cooling solution providing techniques for using baffles, doors and roof sections to prevent warm air from being entrained into a cold aisle in a data center, wherein the data center generally contains an air cooling system and a raised floor structure. The raised floor structure is configured to deliver cool air into the data center through a plurality of grates and perforated tiles in the floor. Electronic equipment racks are disposed around the grates and perforated tiles, such that the front faces of the equipment racks face the grates and perforated tiles. A collection of baffles, doors or roof sections inhibit the mixing of the cool air delivered by the air cooling system and the warm air exhausted by the electronic equipment.

    • A heatsink includes a thermally conductive body including a plurality of fins configured to conduct and dissipate heat. The body is configured to receive a circuit board containing heat-producing electrical components along a width of the body. The heatsink further includes a pivot mechanism pivotally coupled to the body and configured and disposed to contact the heat-producing electrical components. The heatsink further includes a bias device connected to the body and the pivot mechanism and configured to change from a first state to a second state to cause the pivot mechanism to rotate relative to the body to move a contact portion of the pivot mechanism toward the body. The heatsink is configured to receive the heat-producing electrical components between the contact portion of the pivot mechanism and the body, and the bias device is configured to bias the contact portion of the pivot mechanism to urge the heat-producing electrical components against the body when the bias device is in the second state.
