    • The rudder arrangement for ships comprises a twisted and balanced rudder blade having a slender profile and a low profile thickness and comprising a propeller facing the rudder blade. A rudder pipe is located in the upper region of the rudder blade with rudder post located therein, wherein the rudder blade comprises two superposed rudder blade sections having different heights whose front nose strips facing the propeller are offset in such a manner that one nose strip is offset to port or starboard and the other nose strip is offset to starboard or port. The two side wall surfaces of the rudder blade converge into an end strip facing away from the propeller and have different arc profiles.

    • A rope-less jump rope exercise device includes a handle and a flexible, elongated lash having a first end associated with the handle and a second end. A ball-and-socket assembly interconnects the first end of the lash and the handle in order to provide rotary movement of the lash relative to the handle in all directions. The handle, lash and ball-and-socket assembly form one half of a pair of identical jump rope exercise assemblies which jointly comprise the jump rope exercise device. Alternatively, a rope-less jump rope exercise device includes a handle defining an inner cavity and a flexible, elongated lash having a first end at partially disposed within the inner cavity and a second end. A spring disposed within the inner cavity is configured to interconnect the handle and the lash and resist movement of the lash out of the inner cavity.

    • A method for processing a fluidic mixture in a multi-stage hydrodynamic cavitation device is disclosed. The fluidic mixture is introduced to an inlet and passed through a flowpath having at least ten cavitation zones. The fluidic mixture is exposed to cavitation inducing features in each of the at least ten cavitation zones to induce cavitation bubbles, which bubbles are then collapsed between every two adjacent of the at least ten cavitation zones. The multi-stage hydrodynamic cavitation device for processing the fluidic mixture has a generally cylindrical housing with an inlet, an outlet, a flowpath therebetween, and a plurality of cavitation zones along the flowpath. Two or more of the cavitation zones along the flowpath comprise a disk multi-jet nozzle having a plurality of through channels disposed across the surface thereof, wherein each channel includes expansions and contractions of its cross-sectional area along its length.

    • A storybook kit for a child's play structure includes poles removably attached to one another and arranged to form a three-dimensional box-like structure of a size to permit a child to fully enter therein. A plurality of panels are attached to the poles. The panels have graphic representations thereon corresponding to at least a portion of a story or illustration depicted in an accompanying storybook. Three dimensional objects may be positionable within, or removably attached to the panels, and which correspond to objects in the storybook to enhance the play experience. Multiple structures may be placed side-by-side so that a child can move from one structure to another, and thus from one portion of the story to the next.

    • A multi-function pipe cutting and fitting tool includes a spring biased connecting rod, a pair of plier teeth and a pair of friction teeth. The spring biased connecting rod improves the pipe cutting function of the tool by improving the operation of a movable jaw toward engagement of a fixed jaw. The pair of plier teeth positioned on one side of the tool allows a user to firmly grip a pipe or other object to be held in place. The pair of friction teeth positioned on an opposite side of the tool allows a user to more reliably engage an object such as a cap on a can of glue. The inclusion of all of these features in the same tool allows a user to perform multiple functions easily and more rapidly.
