摘要： The present disclosure discloses mechanisms for extending a local area network of a customer premises of a customer outside of the customer premises and into a private data network. The extension of a local area network of a customer premises outside of the customer premises and into a private data network may be provided using a customer bridge associated with the customer local area network, a customer bridging domain hosted on a network gateway device for the customer, and a switching element hosted in the private data network for the customer. The network gateway device may be configured to receive, at the customer bridging domain of the customer via a first tunnel associated with the customer bridging domain, a packet including a destination address and determine, based on the destination address, whether to forward the packet via a second tunnel associated with the customer bridging domain or whether to forward the packet toward a public data network.

摘要： A method and apparatus for latency control in an optical network. A management node such as an OLT in a PON sends a discovery message intending to prompt joining network nodes such as ONUs to send a response on a first wavelength during a quiet window established for this purpose. When a response is received, a secondary upstream-transmission wavelength is assigned to the ONU. When the ONU sends data upstream according to a schedule calculated by the ONT, which schedule may include transmission times using the assigned secondary wavelength. In this case, the assigned secondary wavelength will be scheduled using a relatively smaller or no quiet window. This scheduling may be determined in part by the service or services used by the ONU.

The user equipment decodes RACH parameters and the contention information to obtain decoded RACH parameters, and adjusts an initial transmit power of the user equipment to be a first transmit power based on the decoded RACH parameters.

摘要： We disclose a transmitter that uses at least first and second fixed constellations in which the same bit-words are assigned to different respective constellation symbols of different respective transmit energies. The transmitter generates an outgoing data frame by first generating two data frames using the first and second constellations, respectively, and then selecting the one of the two data frames that has the lower overall transmit energy and discarding the other. The first and second constellations are constructed in a manner that enables the transmitter to realize a significant shaping gain. Some embodiments of the transmitter are compatible with the use of forward-error-correction coding and provide a shaping gain for the transmission of both information and parity bits. An example embodiment of the transmitter can advantageously be implemented with relatively low complexity by employing constellation mappers and demappers that operate using relatively small look-up tables.

According to an embodiment, a retransmission buffer status report (BSR) timer is implemented in a user equipment (UE) as an attribute that is configurable for each logical channel of the UE. 摘要： An optical WDM system configured to use direct detection of communication signals that is compatible with electronic CD compensation on a per-channel basis. In an example embodiment, to enable full (e.g., amplitude and phase) electric-field reconstruction at the receiver, the optical WDM system uses a carrier-frequency plan according to which the carrier-frequency comb used at one end of the WDM link and the carrier-frequency comb used at the other end of the WDM link are offset with respect to one another by one half of the bandwidth of an individual WDM component transmitted therethrough. This frequency offset places each local carrier frequency at a roll-off edge of the corresponding incoming data-modulated signal. As a result, the corresponding combined optical signal beneficially lends itself to direct detection that can be followed by full electric-field reconstruction using a known self-coherent Kramers-Kronig method and then by conventional electronic CD compensation.

摘要： In a data processing system, a received data stream comprises a plurality of tuples having respective key values. The received data stream is separated into portions that are delivered to respective ones of a first set of servers in a manner that permits different tuples having the same key value to be processed by different servers of the first set. For each distinct key value, each of at least a subset of the servers of the first set maintains a corresponding partial key result based on one or more of the tuples having that key value that are received by that server. The partial key results are periodically delivered from the servers of the first set to servers of a second set of servers in a manner that ensures that different partial key results having the same key value are processed by the same server of the second set.
