摘要： A system and method for electronic notification of a person(s) in proximity to a given location at the time assistance is needed. A networked system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons are provided for communicating with a person's smartphone, computer system, or other electronic device. Wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons selectively broadcast a configurable data set within a given area of the beacon. The strength of the signal can vary depending on the alert type, time to respond requirements and specific characteristics of the location that would affect the time to respond. Software running on the person's smartphone, computer system, tablet or other electronic device preferably receives the signal(s) broadcast by the wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons and decoding the data set broadcast. Depending on the configuration of the system, the decoded data set can cause the software to provide an alert to the person, which can include, but is not limited to, the location and type of alert. The alert may take the form of a visual message on the display of the person's smartphone, computer system, or other electronic device, an audible alert, vibration, and/or other available alerting mechanism on the person's smartphone, computer system or other electronic device.

摘要： A method and system for determining if an individual is impaired. In one embodiment, physical and cognitive testing of the individual are conducted in the field or at the scene of an event. The test results are compared to previously stored baseline test results taken for the specific individual while the individual is known to be in an unimpaired state or condition. The current test results are electronically compared to the baseline test results and if the results differ or deviate beyond a predetermined level or amount the individual is considered to be impaired. If no baseline test results exist for the specific individual, the current test results can alternatively be compared to previously determined or known scientifically accepted or minimums for the specific tests given to the individual.

摘要： A method and system for automatically terminating a logout session for a restricted access system by determining that an authorized user has left the vicinity of the restricted access system. The authorized user preferably carries a wireless transmitter which transmits an authorization signal that is also used for permitting access to the restricted access system. When the authorized user leaves the vicinity of the restricted access system after logging in, the signal is no longer received by a wireless receiver or too weak of a signal, such that an access control system in communication with the wireless receiver automatically causes the restricted access system to initiate a logout action in order to prevent or reduce the chance of an unauthorized user gaining access to the restricted access system. The restricted access system can be a rewards tracking system, such as, but not limited to, a rewards tracking system for a gaming machine or gaming table.
