摘要： A razor cartridge is provided that includes a frame, at least four razor blades, a guard that includes a contact surface, and a cap that includes a contact surface. The razor blades are supported by the frame. The guard is disposed forward of the razor blades and the cap is disposed aft of the razor blades. The razor blades are arranged so that the cutting edge of each razor blade is adjacent a plane that tangentially intersects the contact surfaces of the guard and the cap. As a result, each stroke of the razor exposes the surface being shaved to at least four razor blade cutting edges in succession. A unitary razor assembly that includes a head characterized in the same manner as the above-described cartridge is also provided.

When the shaving preparation cake is attached to the razor assembly, the razor cartridge is disposed within the axial bore of the shaving preparation cake. The shaving preparation cake is selectively detachable from the razor assembly to facilitate use of the razor assembly in dry shaving environment applications.

Positioned within the opening are a plurality of cutting edges, each cutting edge defined by a blade. A contact plane is defined between the leading surface and the trailing surface that provides a reference for determining whether a cutting edge has a neutral, positive, or negative exposure. All of the cutting edges within the razor cartridge have an exposure relative to the contact plane that is one of all positive or all negative.

摘要： In a razor cartridge, a platform portion has a first cartridge section that includes at least one first pair of razor blades position therein. Each of the first pair or razor blades has an at least partially exposed cutting edge. A second cartridge section is also provided and is coupled to the platform portion. The second cartridge section includes at least one pair of second razor blades positioned therein, each of the second pair of razor blades also has an at least partially exposed cutting edge. The razor cartridge can be mounted either temporarily or permanently to a handle and the cutting edges of each of the first and second pair of razor blades face one another so that during a shaving operation, the razor cartridge can cut hair when drawn over a user's skin in either of two generally opposite directions.
