摘要： A photocatalytic oxidation and ozone catalyst system utilizes ultraviolet light and ozone in the treatment of waste and wastewater to destroy pathogens and to break down most hydrocarbons and other chemicals into non-hazardous forms. The wastewater enters the system for initial treatment and is also pumped through the venturi loop and is exposed to ultraviolet light. The ozone interacts at the venturi before the ultraviolet light is being used as a catalyst by the ultraviolet light to break apart the double bonds of ketones, aldehydes, esters, and carboxylic acids. Following initial treatment, the wastewater is pumped into the pressurized ozone enhancement vessel where vapor oxidation of the polluting chemicals occurs. The enhancement vessel comprises a liquid spray component and a series of ozone resonator plates having ozone distribution manifolds that spray the wastewater with ozone. The plates have angular channels formed therein through which the wastewater passes. The channels are formed to maximize absorption of the ozone by the wastewater which exits the vessel in a treated form.

摘要： A heat sink for cooling a heat-generating device includes a base and a cooling section coupled thereto for cooling the device. The cooling section includes a plurality of flow tubes, each flow tube having an inlet, an outlet, and a bounding wall that defines a closed fluid flow path from the inlet to the outlet. Each of the flow tubes includes a central axis that is substantially parallel to a reference plane of the heat-generating device. The flow tubes may be arranged in a layered stack and include a bounding wall that has a thickness that decreases with increasing distance in the layered stack. The flow tubes may also include a cross-sectional area that decreases with increasing distance in the layered stack. Furthermore, the bounding wall of the flow tubes may have a non-planar configuration in a direction generally parallel to the central axis.

摘要： A quick-connect coupling facilitates the connection of an auger of a dispensing mechanism to the drive shaft of the dispensing mechanism so as to firmly lock the auger from radial, axial, or rotational movement with respect to the drive shaft while inhibiting contamination and facilitating cleaning. The coupling includes a male portion provided on the auger shaft and including one or more pins, a female portion formed in the adapter shaft and including one or more axial and peripheral slots, and a key which firmly locks the pin in the peripheral slot. The key includes a retainer which is affixed to a sleeve or other device serving as a guide and support for the retainer. Upon downward movement of the sleeve along the drive shaft, the retainer acts as a cam to lock the pins in position. If the dispensing mechanism employs an adapter shaft as the drive shaft, an improved quick-connect coupling may also be provided to attach the adapter shaft to the drive mechanism output shaft.
