摘要： A surveillance camera capable of adjusting a position thereof, and a controlling method thereof are disclosed. The surveillance camera capable of adjusting a position to photograph or capture video images of a monitored area by adaptively driving a camera part in accordance with a predetermined monitoring mode selected by an external controller, includes a pan sensor detecting a standard position of a pan motor that transversely rotates the camera part; a tilt sensor detecting a standard position of a tilt motor that perpendicularly rotates the camera part; and a control part outputting a driving control signal for driving the pan motor and/or the tilt motor, adaptively, according to the received monitoring mode selecting signal, such that standard positions of the pan motor and/or the tilt motor are detected respectively by the pan sensor and/or the tilt sensor by a certain period set according to the monitoring mode. Accordingly, positions of the pan motor and the tilt motor are adaptively initialized during the operation thereof, and therefore, position error caused by loss of driving pulse can be compensated, thereby enabling more correct monitoring work.

The communication terminal comprises a user input unit, a storage unit, a communication unit, and a control unit. The user input unit receives a user input. The storage unit stores software storing software necessary to process a request from a client terminal. The communication unit receives the request from the client terminal connected to a relay server, and sends data through the relay server in response to the request. The control unit receives the request from the client terminal, processes the request, and controls the communication unit according to the user input or the software stored in the storage unit. Here, the communication terminal is connected to the client server via a gateway server converting a private IP address into a certified IP address and the relay server having a common IP address and forwarding data.

The present invention includes if a user having a prescribed ID logs in to an instant message server, receiving and displaying a pre-registered buddy list from the instant message server, setting a communication block for a first buddy in the buddy list not to inform the first buddy that the ID user has logged in, setting a communication grant for a second buddy in the buddy list to inform the second buddy that the ID user has logged in, displaying a dialogue window for an instant message communication with the first buddy, and receiving/transmitting an instant message from/to the first buddy despite that the communication block has been set for the first buddy. Accordingly, even if a user does not set a communication grant or block per a buddy in a buddy list in advance, it is able to effectively prevent a request for initiating an instant message communication with the user from being made by an unwanted buddy. Once one buddy is communication-blocked, it is able to receive an instant message from the communication-blocked buddy even before the communication block is released.
