摘要： The present invention provides a display parameter adjusting method and an electronic device employing the method. The electronic device includes a display, a light source and a light receiver. The display parameter adjusting method includes: emitting a light beam to the light receiver by the light source; calculating a turbidity of a location of the display according to a first light intensity of the light beam received by the light receiver, wherein a propagation direction of the light beam emitted by the light source is parallel to a displaying surface of the display, and the location is beneath a water surface; and adjusting the display parameter according to the turbidity.

摘要： An electronic device and a method for controlling a fan operation are provided. A containing space of the electronic device has a fan module and a deformation sensor. The deformation sensor detects whether a fan housing of the fan module is deformed. The deformation sensor transmits a deformation signal to a controller when detecting that the fan housing is deformed. The controller drives a fan blade of the fan module to stop running after receiving the deformation signal.

摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed for delivering video content over a network, such as the Internet. Videos are identified and pre-processed by a web service and then separated into a plurality of segments. Based on user interests, video segments may be pre-fetched and stored by a client associated with a user. Upon receiving a selection from a user to play a video, the first video segment may begin playing instantaneously from a local cache. While the first video segment plays, subsequent video segments are transmitted from the web service to the client, so that the subsequent video segments will be ready for viewing at the client when playback of the first video segment has finished.

摘要： A display apparatus and a method for controlling a backlight module thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes the backlight module, an input unit and a processing unit. A light-emitting device of the backlight module includes a first light-emitting unit and a second light-emitting unit. A photoelectric conversion efficiency of the first light-emitting unit is higher than that of the second light-emitting unit, and a covering color gamut of the second light-emitting unit is larger than that of the first light-emitting unit. The input unit generates an input signal. The processing unit is coupled to the input unit and configured to receive the input signal generated by the input unit, and the processing unit is coupled to the backlight module, and dynamically adjusts respective light intensity ratios of the first light-emitting unit and the second light-emitting unit according to the received input signal.

摘要： A display and an operating method thereof are provided. The display includes a display panel, a timing controller, and a plurality of source drivers. The source drivers are coupled to the timing controller and the display panel, and the source drivers are coupled to one another. The timing controller outputs a plurality of training packets to the source drivers. When the source drivers lock a clock of the timing controller according to the training packets, a lock signal is output to the timing controller. The timing controller outputs a plurality of color data packets and at least one latch signal to the source drivers based on the lock signal. The source drivers respectively output a plurality of pixel voltages to the display panel according to the latch signal. The training packets and the color data packets are serially transmitted to the source drivers.

The method includes: an SMS-SC sending a short message to an SMS-GMSC, and after the SMS-GMSC sends the short message to an MME, the MME sending a failure report to the SMS-GMSC when the MME detects that a terminal is unreachable (S202); the SMS-GMSC receiving the sent failure report and sending a short-message sending status message to an HSS, and the HSS setting waiting data according to the short-message sending status message (S204); upon detecting that the terminal switches from unreachable to reachable, the MME notifying the HSS that the terminal is reachable (S206); upon learning that the terminal is reachable, the HSS sending, according to the waiting data, a warning message to notify the SMS-SC that the terminal is reachable, and upon learning that the terminal is reachable again, the SMS-SC sending the short message again (S208). By means of the solution, a short message service can also be received in an area covered only by a packet switched network.
