    • An ophthalmic surgical device (10) includes a housing (12) having a distal end (14) and a proximal end (16). A cannula (18) is attached to the housing distal end (14) and has a distal tip (20) with at least one port (22) in communication with a lumen (19) extending through the cannula (18) and in communication with an aspiration path (24) in the housing (12). A vibration source (26) is held within the housing (12) for vibrating the distal tip (20) for assisting in vitreous and other tissue removal. An aspiration source (152) connected to the aspiration path (24) for applying a negative pressure to the lumen (19) and the at least one port (22) for removing fluids and the vitreous and other tissue from the eye. The vibration source (26) and the aspiration source (152) together create a periodic bi-directional flow of tissue through the port (22) without creating cavitation externally of the distal tip (20).

    • A cloud server receives a request for accessing medical image data from a client device, where the cloud server provides image processing services to users in image processing steps, resulting in image views. User privileges of a user are determined for accessing the medical image data. In response to receiving a command having a selection of an image view from the client device, the cloud server provides the medical image data based on the selected one or more image views. The user interactions of the user with the medical image data via the selected image views are tracked, including tracking how long in time the user has spent on a particular image view. The tracked user interactions are stored in a persistent storage, and an analysis is performed on the tracked user interactions stored in the persistent storage to determine an overall usage trend of the image views.

    • A waste disposal unit for biologically hazardous waste includes a waste reception mechanism for receiving un-shredded waste, a housing having an interior containing a shredder mechanism and a storage volume for receiving shredded waste from the shredder mechanism. The housing is configured to prevent external access to the interior of the housing. In a first configuration of the waste reception mechanism, un-shredded waste may be received and access from the waste reception mechanism to the interior of the housing is closed. In a second configuration of the waste reception mechanism, access from the exterior of the waste disposal unit into the waste reception mechanism is closed and access from the waste reception mechanism into the interior of the housing is open to permit un-shredded waste to pass from the waste reception mechanism to the shredder mechanism. The waste disposal unit is engaged by a detachable shredder drive mechanism.
