    • A printing media loading apparatus includes a first printing media loading unit detachably disposed in an image forming apparatus; a second printing media loading unit disposed above the first printing media loading unit; a first lever assembly rotatably disposed in the first printing media loading unit; a second lever assembly disposed in the second printing media loading unit to selectively rotate the first lever assembly; and a detecting sensor disposed in the image forming apparatus to detect action of the first lever assembly, wherein, when at least one printing medium is loaded on the second printing media loading unit and there is no printing medium loaded on the first printing media loading unit, the second lever assembly is rotated and the first lever assembly is rotated by rotation of the second lever assembly to activate the detecting sensor.

    • Disclosed are an image forming apparatus of improved power transmission structure and a developing cartridge thereof. The image forming apparatus may include a main body; a driving unit which includes a driving shaft mounted to the main body and a driving coupler connected to the driving shaft. The driving coupler may be provided with a plurality of driving tips. The image forming apparatus may further include a consumable unit that may be detachably received in the main body. The consumable unit may include a driven shaft, a rotating body rotating with the driven shaft and a passive coupler rotating with the driven shaft. The passive coupler may be provided with a plurality of passive tips. The plurality of driving tips and the plurality of passive tips may come into engaging contact with each other when the consumable unit is operably received in the main body, and may remain in the engaging contact even when the respective rotational axes of the driving shaft and the driven shaft intersect with each other.

    • A toner path opening and closing apparatus of an image forming device includes a first shutter elastically supported by a first elastic member to open and close a first toner path, and a second shutter elastically supported by a second elastic member having an elastic modulus smaller than the first elastic member to open and close a second toner path by the first shutter. After the second toner path is opened by the first shutter, the first is opened, so that the first and second toner paths communicate with each other. The first toner path is a toner supplying pipeline to which a toner is supplied from a toner cartridge, and the second toner path is a toner injecting port disposed in a developing unit. In mounting of the developing unit, after the toner injecting port disposed in the developing unit is first opened, the toner supplying pipeline is opened, and in dismounting of the developing unit, after the toner supplying pipeline is first closed, the toner injecting port is closed, so that in mounting and dismounting of the developing unit, toner is prevented from being leaked through the toner paths.

    • An image forming apparatus and a control method thereof are disclosed. The image forming apparatus includes a plurality of photosensitive, an intermediate transfer belt which contacts the photosensitive bodies and transfers developed toner images to a paper, a first transfer roller, a second transfer roller, a cleaning blade which removes residual toner from the intermediate transfer belt after transfer, and a control unit for controlling the intermediate transfer belt. If a print command is input, the control unit drives the intermediate transfer belt, and calculates an intermediate transfer belt moving time (T1) from a distance between a nip point (P1) of the intermediate transfer belt and the second transfer roller and a contact point (P2) of the intermediate transfer belt and the cleaning blade and a linear velocity of the intermediate transfer belt. If it is determined that an image first edge position (E2) on the intermediate transfer belt passes by the nip point (P1), the control unit determines whether a moving time of the image first edge position (E2) reaches the intermediate transfer belt moving time (T1). If it is determined that the moving time of the image first edge position (E2) reaches the intermediate transfer belt moving time (T1), the control unit controls the intermediate transfer belt to be stopped.

    • An image forming apparatus includes an illuminant which is disposed in a cover or a paper feed cassette to be opened in order to remove a paper error when a paper error occurs. The image forming apparatus includes a body; a jam sensing unit for detecting whether a printing medium is jammed in the body; a plurality of covers which are disposed at an external side of the body and which are opened and closed in order to remove the jammed printing medium in the body; a plurality of illuminants which are disposed at the plurality of covers, respectively; and a control unit for switching on the illuminant which is disposed in at least one of the plurality of covers as being opened in order to remove the jammed printing medium if the jam sensing unit detects that the printing medium is jammed.
