摘要： A device and method for performing Internet Protocol (IP) configuration by a station (STA) of a wireless communication network. The method includes: prior to associating with an access point (AP), receiving, at the STA from the AP, a beacon frame including subnet information and IP type information of the AP; transmitting, by the STA to the AP, a request frame including a requested IP address. Here, the requested IP address is determined by the STA based on the subnet information and the IP type information of the AP. The method also includes: receiving, by the STA from the AP, a response frame including information on an availability of the requested IP address; and associating with the AP by the STA based on the response frame.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for a first station (STA) comprising: obtaining available channel information by accessing a database that manages the available channel information within the white space band, and transmitting a white space map (WSM) generated according to the available channel information to a second STA, the WSM includes a channel map field having a variable length, a length field including the length of the channel map field, and map ID information indicating a type of the WSM and whether the WSM being updated; and if the available channel information obtained from the DB indicates that no available channel exists within the white space band, a map ID is set to indicate that the WSM is the updated WSM, and the first STA transmits the WSM which is set as the length field to indicate that the length of the channel map field is 0.

摘要： When channel switching to a channel in a white space band is performed through tunneled direct link setup (TDLS) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, it is confirmed whether or not a white space band between STAs is operable by directly including white space band performance between communication target STAs and device identifier information in a TDLS request/response message. Thus, one STA performs a channel availability query (CAQ) procedure in order to obtain available channel information, and a TDLS channel switching request/response message is exchanged by selecting a target channel in an available channel. Therefore, TDLS-based channel switching to a white space band is efficiently performed.
