    • An improved injector pump (10) is the subject matter of this application. The pump (10) includes a piston (44) freely disposed for reciprocation within a chamber (32). The piston (44) has an aperture (62) extending axially therethrough. A valve member (96) is disposed within the aperture (62) for rotation therein. Means are provided for rotating the valve member (96) between first and second positions, and operating fluid is channeled to opposite sides of the piston (44) depending upon the position of the valve member (96). Means (114, 118, 122, 124) are provided to move the valve member (96) between its first and second positions. Plungers (50, 52) extend in opposite axial directions from the piston (44) to effect pumping of the product fluid.

    • Exemplary embodiments for increased in-line deduplication efficiency in a computing environment are provided. In one embodiment, by way of example only, hash values are calculated in nth iterations on data samples from fixed size data chunks extracted from an object requested for in-line deduplication. For each of the nth iterations, the calculated hash values for the data samples from the fixed size data chunks are matched in an nth hash index table with a corresponding hash value of existing objects in storage. The nth hash index table is exited upon detecting a mismatch during the matching. The mismatch is determined to be a unique object and is stored. A hash value for the object is calculated. A master hash index table is updated with the calculated hash value for the object and the calculated hash values for the unique object.

    • A database of action plans carried out by a service provider is provided that stores the action plan as a series of action codes as well as the associated information such as error code, error type and whether the action plan resolved the problem. When an error occurs and is reported automatically, the database is searched for the error that occurred. Action plans as well as success rates are collected with most probable solutions being presented first. Each action code in the action plan corresponds to a particular point in maintenance documentation that is stored, e.g., on a management console, at the customer location. After reporting the error, the management console receives action plans for the error based on actual service reports as well as action plans suggested by documentation. When a service representative accesses the management console for information about the error, appropriate documentation is presented for each step in the action plan, allowing the service representative to follow along the suggested action plans and associated maintenance documentation onsite.

    • A method and apparatus for controlling the amount of fluid (12) pumped to a using implement by a fluid distribution system (10) is the subject of this application. The apparatus includes a weir chamber (40) into which fluid diverted from a fluid supply line (22) into a return line (36) floods. A head is generated in the chamber (40), the height of the head depending upon the volumetric rate of residual flow through the return line (36). Sensing means (52, 54) are provided in the chamber (40) to sense the volumetric rate of flow of diverted fluid. The amount of fluid (12) pumped through the supply line (22) is controlled, in response to the head sensed in the weir chamber (40), by a controller unit (62) which governs operation of pumps (24) pumping fluid (12) through the supply line (22).
