摘要： A laminating system and a method of making a laminated product can include a roll of substrate material and a roll of film material to be laminated together to form a laminate. The system includes a sheeter station and, optionally, a breaker bar station and/or a registration station. The sheeter station is configured to cut the laminate at desired locations based on either signals received from the registration station or other system components. The breaker bar station is configured to remove any roll set curl that may reside in the laminate as a result of the substrate and/or film materials being fed to the system directly from rolls. The registration station is arranged, during an automated registration mode, to detect markings on the laminate and instruct the sheeter station to cut the laminate into individual sheets for subsequently processing into cards such as credit cards, gift cards, ID cards, etc.

摘要： A multi-layered film laminate for use in making hot filled blister packages and a method of making such material is provided. The laminate generally includes a central core layer of barrier polymer film disposed between a slip film and a thermostable film. In particularly advantageous embodiments, the barrier film is a polychlorotrifluoroethylene film, the slip film is a polyvinyl chloride film, and the heat resistant film is a temperature resistant copolyester. The disclosed material provides a high moisture barrier and a stable inter-laminar structure that can withstand hot filling of liquids, such as liquids used to form soft and/or gummy dosages on form-fill-and-seal blister packaging machines.

摘要： A polystyrene copolymer blend product achieving an optimal combination of haze/clarity, strength, toughness/snap, and organoleptic properties is provided. The polystyrene copolymer blend product includes a first layer forming about 2 to about 6 weight percent of the total weight percent of the product. The first layer includes from about 95 to about 100 weight percent of GPPS or HIPS, based on the weight of the layer. The polystyrene copolymer blend product includes a second (and optional third and fourth) layer(s) that firm about 98 to about 94 weight percent of the product. The second (and optional third and fourth) layer(s) include about 23 to about 43 weight percent of GPPS, from either about 35 to about 70 weight percent, such as from about 50 to about 65 weight percent of SBC, and from about 0 to about 17 weight percent of HIPS, based on the weight of the respective layer.
