In the methods of the present invention, the reaction between the activated ester of a carboxylic acid and H217O or H218O can be allowed to proceed without including drastic conditions such as strongly acidic conditions or alkaline hydrolysis because an activator is used.

摘要： Dextransucrase synthesis of dextran from sucrose is inhibited by a novel homocitric acid oligoriboside derivative and its nontoxic salts. The new derivative is obtained by fermentation of certain Streptomyces sp. such as Streptomyces sp. MF 980-CF1 (FERM-P5430; ATCC 31820) and is useful in the prevention of dental caries.
