A code recording unit records a security code in the recording medium in which data is recorded by the drive recorder. A nonvolatile storage device stores a security code which is the same as the security code for use at the time of recording in the recording medium. A code acquisition unit acquires the security code from recorded contents of the recording medium in which the data is recorded by the drive recorder. A code authentication unit enables the display unit to display the data recorded in the recording medium when the security code acquired from the recording medium coincides with the security code stored in the storage device.
