    • A method used in a transmitting device comprising a non-linear amplifier and a digital predistortion (DPD) circuit. The method updates real and imaginary look-up tables used by the DPD. The method comprises: i) time-aligning a complex input signal, A, and a complex output signal, E. Signal A is a scan from 0 to a maximum value comprising N discrete points and signal E also comprises N discrete points. The method comprises: ii) performing an array division of A/E=(Yr, Yi), where Yr and Yi are the real and imaginary components, respectively; and iii) computing a real curve and an imaginary curve using curve-fitting algorithms that best fit the data with coordinates (|A|, Yr) and (|A|, Yi). The method stores the real curve in a real lookup table (LUT) and the imaginary curve in an imaginary lookup table (LUT). The method iteratively updates the real LUT and the imaginary LUT.

    • An apparatus and method for aligning input and feedback signals in a transmission circuit are provided. The method includes capturing an input signal and a feedback signal, determining a first time delay between the input signal and the feedback signal, determining a second time delay between the input signal and the feedback signal, the determination of the second time delay having a higher resolution than the determination of the first time delay, and applying the first time delay and the second time delay to temporally align the input signal with the feedback signal. Use of the present invention provides an improved resolution of time alignment while reducing the overall complexity and cost of the transmission circuit.

    • There is described a device and a method of selective coloring of hair. The device comprises an open helmet made of a circumferential head band and one or more brace bands extending from the head band over the crown of the wearer's head. The helmet has a plaurlity of fastening means, e.g. pins with knob-like ends, adapted to accommodate a plurality of eyelets. The head band is placed over the wearer's scalp just below the hairline. The brace band then defines two hair sectors on the scalp. Strands of hair from each each sector are consecutively placed in the plastic bags which are then attached by way of the eyelets to the pins of the bands. The hair in the bags is treated with coloring solution. After a predetermined amount of time, the bags and the helmet are removed from the "streaked" hair. The method of the invention eliminates pulling of hair. The device is amenable to repeated use.
