    • A video decoding apparatus and method based on a data and function splitting scheme are disclosed. The video decoding apparatus based on a data and function splitting scheme includes a variable length decoding unit performing variable length decoding and parsing on a bit stream to acquire residual data and a decoding parameter, and splitting the residual data and the decoding parameter by row; and N (N is a natural number of 2 or larger) number of clusters splitting dequantization and inverse discrete cosine transform (IDCT), motion vector prediction, intra prediction and motion compensation, video restoration, and deblocking function into M number of functions, acquiring the residual data, the decoding parameter, and macroblock (MB) processing information of an upper cluster by column, and splitting the information acquired by column into M number of functions to process the same.

    • Described embodiments provide for recovering an error, which has occurred in video contents, by using hidden data. A video content providing server generates video contents, into which information for video error recovery is inserted. The server includes: a block segmentation unit that segments an original image into at least one block having a pre-set size; a block description information (BDI) generation unit that generates block description information (BDI) for each of the at least one block, each BDI including information necessary to recover each of the segmented blocks; a BDI insertion unit that inserts each of the generated BDI into a block that is different from a block to be recovered by using the generated BDI; and a provisional video generation unit that generates provision video contents by combining at least one block, into which the BDI has been inserted.

    • A composite masking system and method for improving the invisibility of high-definition video watermarking. The composite masking system includes a watermark generation module, a mask generation module, and watermark embedment means. The watermark generation module generates a basic watermark pattern using a private key, and generate a watermark pattern by repeatedly extending the basic watermark pattern. The mask generation module generates a Noise Visibility Function (NVF) mask using NVF masking means, an adaptive dithering mask using adaptive dithering masking means, and a contour mask using contour masking means. The watermark embedment means generates a composite mask by multiplying the NVF mask, the adaptive dithering mask and the contour mask together, multiplying the composite mask and the extended watermark pattern together, and embedding the result of the second multiplication in the luminance channel of an original image.

    • The present invention relates to a method for sharing data of a device in M2M communication and a system therefor. The invention comprises: a step of allowing a resource user terminal to request access authority of protected resource data to a resource owner terminal, in order to prevent a security threat; a verification step of allowing the resource owner terminal to verify the resource user terminal to request the setting of the access authority to an M2M server, and to transmit a verification key issued from the M2M server to the resource user terminal; an access authority setting step of allowing the M2M server to generate an access authentication key based on the verification key, and to transmit the access authentication key to the resource user terminal; and a using step of allowing the resource user terminal to inquire about the protected resource data from the M2M server based on the access authentication key, and to use the protected resource data.
