摘要： The uncrosslinked liquid oligomeric compositions of this invention are made by the Michael addition reaction of acetoacetate-functional donor compounds with multifunctional acrylate acceptor compounds where the equivalent ratios of multifunctional acrylate to acetoacetate vary from ≧1:1 to ≧13.2:1 depending on the functionality of both multifunctional acrylate and acetoacetate in the presence of a catalyst comprising an epoxy moiety and a quaternary salt. Unusable gelled or cured oligomer products occur below the claimed ranges. The liquid oligomers of this invention are further crosslinked to make coatings, laminates and adhesives.

The modified polyisocyanates are prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate with an aliphatic primary or secondary amine. 摘要： The present invention is addressed a formulation curable in the presence of an amine and containing one or more of a polyol or polymercapto resin, a polyisocyanate cross-linking agent, optionally a organic vehicle, and a tin catalyst complex. The present invention comprises the catalyst complex being formed from a metal catalyst and a complexing sulfonic acid in an equivalent ratio of complexing sulfonic acid to metal catalyst of greater than 2:1. Such curable formulation may be compounded into a coating, an adhesive (including a structural adhesive), a caulk, a foundry binder, or the like. Besides having excellent shelf life, long periods of open time are experienced with the novel catalyzed formulation. However, upon exposure to an amine, the catalyst complex becomes activated and then is effective to catalyze the NCO--OH reaction or the NCO--SH reaction to effect cure of the formulation.

摘要： A process for producing a coated particle to provide controlled release characteristics. In this process the mixing of the substrate and coating is made in a mixing device and that mixture is then transferred to a reactor vessel different from the mixing device where the chemical curing of the coating over the particles takes place. Several layers of coating can be applied by repeating the steps and it can be run in a fully continuous manner.
