摘要： A connection protector kit for use with an electrical stub connection assembly, the stub connection assembly including first and second conductors forming a connection and defining a crotch therebetween, includes an insert assembly. The insert assembly includes an insert member and a sealant pad mounted on the insert member. The insert assembly is adapted to fit within the crotch of the stub connection assembly. The kit may further-include a cap defining a cavity and an opening communicating with the cavity, wherein the cavity and the opening are adapted to receive the stub connection assembly and the insert assembly is adapted to fit within the crotch of the stub connection assembly when the stub connection assembly is mounted in the cavity.

摘要： A method for forming a connection assembly includes: forming an electrical connection between first and second electrical cables, the first cable including a first primary conductor and a first neutral conductor, the second cable including a second primary conductor and a second neutral conductor; and providing an integral, unitary cover assembly. The cover assembly includes: an inner elastomeric sleeve defining a cable passage to receive the electrical connection and the first and second primary conductors; and an outer elastomeric sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve. The method further includes: mounting the cover assembly on the cables such that the electrical connection and the first and second primary conductors extend through the cable passage; installing a first protective sleeve on a first neutral segment of the first neutral conductor; routing the first neutral segment and the first protective sleeve exteriorly of the outer sleeve to a second neutral segment of the second neutral conductor; and mechanically and electrically coupling the first and second neutral segments to thereby provide electrical continuity between the first neutral conductor and the second neutral conductor.

The inner sleeve defines a cable passage to receive the electrical connection and the primary conductors of the first and second cables. The outer sleeve surrounds the inner sleeve. The jumper assembly includes an electrically conductive jumper conductor, a first jumper connector and a second jumper connector. The jumper conductor is interposed between the inner and outer sleeves and has first and second opposed ends. The first jumper connector is mounted on the first end of the jumper conductor and is configured to mechanically and electrically couple the neutral conductor of the first cable to the jumper conductor. The second jumper connector is mounted on the second end of the jumper conductor and configured to mechanically and is electrically couple the neutral conductor of the second cable to the jumper conductor.

摘要： The resilient sleeve member defines an axially extending inner passage. The holdout device includes a core mounted in the inner passage of the sleeve member. The core defines a core passage to receive the elongate substrate and has at least first and second sections. The first and second sections are arranged in a supporting position such that the core maintains the sleeve member in a radially expanded condition. The first and second sections are arranged for relative telescoping movement from the supporting position to a releasing position to permit at least a portion of the sleeve member to radially contract from the radially expanded position to a radially recovered position.
