摘要： Silicone rubber is employed as an outer coating material on a fuser member and is applied to the base member by means of a novel construction which prevents the separation of the outer silicone rubber coating from the roll even when silicone oil is applied thereto. The fuser member comprises a base member, a layer of a heat-resistant resin formed on the base member and a layer of a silicone rubber formed on the heat-resistant resin layer, the silicone rubber being vulcanized after the formation of the layer of silicone rubber on the resin layer. A primer layer may be used between the heat-resistant resin layer and the silicone rubber layer.

摘要： A fixing device for a brush holder having a pair of leg pieces extending away from an upper surface of the brush holder. The leg pieces have fingers extending away from the free ends of the leg pieces and penetrating through holes in an attachment surface section of a holder stay. The fingers are bent onto a back face of the attachment surface section such that the bent fingers are oblique relative to a longitudinal axis of the brush holder, thereby preventing any backlash from occurring. The fixing device is formed by a two step bending process using first and second jigs.

The tenter apparatus has a guide member placed on each side of a carry path for the self-supporting film and a pair of tenter chains each moved along the guide member and each including a film holding mechanism for holding an edge portion of the self-supporting film. The tenter chain has a rotating body supported rotatably around a shaft member extending in a direction in parallel with a carry face of the self-supporting film and perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the guide member for movably supporting the tenter chain. The shaft member is directly or indirectly fixed to a member identical to a member to which the film holding mechanism is fixed.
