    • Dynamically upsizing and/or downsizing a network farm in response to network demand. An application message router routes messages to the network farm. When the network farm approaches or is anticipated to be approaching capacity, a group of one or more servers may be added to the network farm. When the added server(s) are capable of participating in the network farm, the application message router is triggered to route also to the added servers. When the network farm has excess capacity, a group of one or more servers may be dropped from the network farm. This may be accomplished by triggering the application message router to no longer route messages to the removed servers. The removed servers may be either immediately or gracefully removed from service.

    • In one embodiment of this invention, a computer system performs a method for validating a software build before check-in. A computer system accesses an existing software build of a software application that includes one or more existing binary files. The computer system accesses one or more updated binary files from a computer user. The computer system overwrites appropriate existing binary files in the existing software build with corresponding updated binary files for the updated binary files package. The overwriting included incorporating the updated binary files into the existing build of the software application without having to generate a new build of the software application. The computer system evaluates the functionality of the updated existing software build, wherein evaluating includes determining whether at least the updated binary files satisfy a threshold level of functionality. The computer system generates a report representing the results of the functionality evaluation.

    • A method and system for interconnecting a telephone system and an intercom system. In one exemplary embodiment, telephone switchgear is connected to a telephone interface which provides separate voice transmit and receive channels. For example, an E&M tie line module can be utilized, which also includes E&M signaling connections for signaling an incoming intercom call to a telephone and for signaling an outgoing telephone call to an intercom. In this exemplary embodiment, an interface circuit is also provided to allow for signal level adjustment along the transmit and receive channels, such that the signal gain of the telephone system can differ from the signal gain of the intercom system. The interface circuit can include a controller which controls a switching device for selectively allowing communication along the transmit and receive channels during periods when communication is desired. In the embodiment, a dual tone multi frequency receiver can be utilized in conjunction with the controller to allow for remote control of the signal gain levels. The intercom system can include an exterior intercom station, such as found in the drive-thru lane of a business, with a mounted speaker and microphone to allow for hands-free communication by a customer. Other interior intercom stations may be connected, if desired, via an intercom switching device, which can communicate to the controller via a serial communication circuit.

The fastener secures a first panel and a second panel and includes a retaining portion extending substantially through an aperture in the second panel.
