摘要： A method for use in a cellular system with a controlling node and user terminals, UEs. In the system, UEs can assume one of at least two states, a non-listening state, i.e. a state during which a UE does not listen for data from its controlling node, and a listening state, an “on duration” state. According to the method a UE in the system is able to alternate between said two states according to a certain scheme, the scheme according to which a UE in the system alternates between said two states being dependent on whether or not data units which are transmitted between the UE and its controlling node are received entirely and correctly within an initially allocated resource for each data unit.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for improving coverage in a wireless communications system. The object is achieved by a method in a sending node (210) for transmitting a data unit to a receiving node (220). The data unit comprises a number of bits. The sending node (210) and the receiving node (220) are both comprised in a wireless communications system (200). According to the method, the sending node (210) obtains (606, 810) a value n associated with the data unit. Then, the sending node (210) selects (608, 814) a transmission time instance depending on n, such that a function exists that uniquely associates the selected transmission time instance with n. Finally, the sending node (210) transmits (612, 818) the data unit to the receiving node (220) in the selected transmission time instance, without the value n.

Signaling scheduling information includes scheduling first and second transport blocks for simultaneous transmission during a first transmission interval on first and second data substreams, respectively, and assigning a single re-transmission process identifier for the first transmission interval and transmitting first scheduling information for the first transmission interval. The first scheduling information includes the re-transmission process identifier and first disambiguation data. Additionally, at least one of the first and second transport blocks is scheduled for re-transmission during a second transmission interval. Second scheduling information for the second transmission interval is also transmitted; the second scheduling information including the re-transmission process identifier and second disambiguation data.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for processing error control messages, such as RLC ARQ control messages, are disclosed. An exemplary method comprises signaling a medium access controller (MAC) that link resources are needed for transmitting data, receiving an indication from the MAC that link resources for transmitting the data are scheduled, and generating an error control message after receiving said indication, based on a current error control status. The error control message is then forwarded to the MAC for transmission. Because the generation of an error control message is delayed until resources for its transmission are scheduled, the queuing of stale control messages is avoided.
