摘要： The present disclosure provides cassettes and methods of using same for the delivery of fluids to a patient using fluid delivery systems. In a general embodiment, the cassettes of the present disclosure include a flexible tube, a housing having a recessed area and first and second ends for holding the flexible tube, and at least two additional components including, for example, different sensors, false reading components for sensors, anti-flow valve means, insertion guides, directional indicators, latch mechanisms, kink-prevention notches, etc. Such additional components provide the cassettes of the present disclosure with several advantages including, for example, quality control, efficiency of use, cost effectiveness, and safety of use.

The client can receive from the server two sets of data in response to the request. The first set of data can include row identifiers of data records that satisfy the query. The second set of data can include data records that can be displayed in the current page. The client can store the two sets of data in one or more buffers (e.g., two buffers) and update buffer(s) when different data records are displayed (e.g., when a user scrolls through pages).

Configurable metadata can be created to link the first data item and the second data item. The link can be directional. The configurable metadata can include data specified by a user. The configurable metadata can be stored in one or more system tables in the relational database. The configurable metadata can be specific to the user, or to a work group of the user. The configurable metadata can change when the first data item or the second data item is modified.

It has a variety of modules integrated with each other to perform various functionalities. For example, it may have a purchasing module evaluating proposals by shippers for respective shipments of goods and awarding contracts for the shipments to the plurality of carriers. It may have an optimization module analyzing the proposals and informing the purchasing module if an opportunity exists for at least some of the shipments to be consolidated, in which case at least one contract awarded by the purchasing module is for a consolidated group of the shipments. It may have a contract administration module maintaining information relating to the status of proposals received and contracts awarded by the purchasing module. It may have a scheduling module scheduling shipments according to the awarded contracts. It may also have a shipment management module tracking the status of shipments awarded by the purchasing module and scheduled by said scheduling module. It may further have a financial module authorizing payments according to the status of shipments tracked by the shipment management module are passed between first and second asynchronous clock domains.

摘要： Provided are DNA microarray techniques that allow hybridization without RNA amplification, without using cDNA, and without labeling the nucleic acid prior to hybridization. Referred to as the Double-stranded Exonuclease Protection (DEP) assay, the technique permits the sample RNA to be used directly for hybridization, without manipulation in any way. Further provided is a microarray technique for high-throughput miRNA gene expression analyses, termed the RNA-primed, Array-based, Klenow Enzyme (RAKE) assay. The RAKE assay is a sensitive and specific technique for assessing single-stranded DNA and RNA targets, and offers specific advantages over Northern blots.

摘要： The present invention provides a tibial prosthetic knee component. The prosthesis includes a tibial tray having a posterior rail and an anterior rail, and a tibial insert. The tibial insert has a posterior dovetailed surface matching the posterior rail in the tibial tray, and an anterior surface matching the anterior rail in the tibial tray. The posterior rail of the tibial tray and the posterior dovetailed surface of the tibial insert are curved to provide clearance for the posterior cruciate ligament. A retaining clip is provided for retaining the tibial insert in the tibial tray. The clip includes a tab which extends through the tray into the insert and a resilient holding member remains unloaded when loads are applied to the knee, reducing the likelihood of dissociation of the tray and insert.

摘要： An improved positive reinforcement respiratory inhalation device of simple construction is provided for respiratory therapy while simultaneously providing to the user controlled ingestion of liquid. The device is used primarily for post-surgical patients when respiratory therapy is most important and restricted liquid intake is usually required. The respiratory inhalation device includes a container for holding liquid and a tube assembly having a first tube slideably coupled to and concentric with the second tube affixed to the container. In one version the tube assembly is affixed to the bottom wall portion of the container. One end of the tube assembly projects to a point adjacent the bottom wall of the container and the second end is adapted for insertion into the mouth of a user. One or the other or both of the first and second tubes are provided with openings in side wall portions thereof whose aperture is adjustable by the sliding movement of one tube relative to the other. The adjustment is made by a longitudinal movement of one tube relative to the second or in a modified embodiment the adjustment in aperture of the openings is made by a rotational movement of one tube about the longitudinal axis of the tube assembly.
