摘要： The invention identifies and caches query plans in a shared-nothing distributed data store that are unlikely to become invalid because they do not reference objects that are likely to be changed or deleted. Plans that are likely to become invalid and are not cached are those plans that reference data that is partitioned across segment/query execution nodes of the data store, plans that are complex, and plans that reference objects that are not “built-in” (primitive) objects. The effect is that most plans which are generated on a query dispatch (master) node are not cached, whereas most plans generated on an execution (segment) node are cached.

摘要： Embodiments are included for methods, systems, and computer program products for evaluating operations in a shared nothing parallelism system using an electronic computing device are presented, the methods and computer program products including: causing the electronic computing device to receive the operation, where the operation is non-collocated, reference based operation, and where the operation is configured for execution on a first partition in the shared nothing parallelism system; causing the electronic computing device to insert a table queue operator on a second partition, where the second partition includes a reference to input data, causing the electronic computing device to place the reference to the input data on the first partition by the table queue operator; and causing the electronic computing device to execute the operation on the reference to the input data on the first partition.

摘要： A method for visual programming an automated transaction machine (12). The method includes the creation of terminal directors (225) that generally correspond to transactions performed by the automated transaction machine. The terminal directors are programmed by visually creating associations (238) between a plurality of ATM objects (230, 232) in a work space (224). Exemplary ATM objects include an authorization object (260), a back stage control object (262), a card reader object (264), a customer profile object (266), a depositor object (268), a dispenser object (270), keypad object (272), a logic object (274), a OCS object (276), a presenter object (278), a PIN entry object (280), a printer object (282), a sync object (284), and a transaction data object (286). The customer profile object is operative to retrieve customer profile information responsive to a determined customer of a person using the ATM. A portion of the exemplary ATM objects are operative to interface with a device interface layer (728) for communicating with physical hardware devices (724, 726). The device interface layer is operative to retrieve rules (721) and capability features from a data store (720) for automatically switching between two or more different devices of similar type when one of the devices becomes inoperative.
