摘要： An intelligent terminal includes unique features and integrated components to provide the ultimate dynamic viewing experience. The intelligent terminal is transportable and can function as a tablet, a laptop, or a desktop. The intelligent terminal is also configured to receive display data from an electronic device, via at least one processor and a network interface. The intelligent terminal includes a display screen that is configured to rotate about an axis that is normal to the display screen and is further configured to modify its display pixel density, brightness, clarity, color, either automatically or in response to a user input. The modified display data, based on the axial orientation of the screen, a display data attribute, the ambient conditions, the user's viewing parameters, and an electronic device attribute, is further configured to generate an image for display on the display screen that provides the most optimal and comfortable dynamic viewing experience.

In some embodiments first information is displayed in an available display area including a first portion of a display screen in a configuration having a set of portions. The set of portions includes the first portion of the display screen, which is configured in a powered-on state to perform display functions and receive user input, and a second portion of the display screen, which is configured in a powered-off state. Responsive to a user indication in the in the first portion, the second portion is added to the available display area by transitioning the second portion to the powered-on state to perform display functions and receive user input. Second information is displayed in the second portion.

摘要： A terminal system includes a portable computing device and a stand. The stand includes an arm, a coupler movably coupled to the arm and coupled to the portable computing device, and a base removably coupled to the arm. The coupler of the stand allows the portable computing device to move such that the body rotates about an axis perpendicular to the display screen while the arm is in a fixed position. When the arm of the stand is coupled to the base, the base is configurable to support the portable computing device at a desired angle with respect to the surface. The portable electronic device is configured to modify a display on the display screen of the portable computing device in response to the orientation of the portable electronic device.

摘要： A hand-held terminal such as a smart phone comprised of 2 components—a front face and a back face. A touch screen display is embedded in the front face entirely occupying said front face; said front face to have no visible components in its top and bottom strips including the home button, speakers, microphone, sensors, and front camera (“Components”). The back face contains the relocated Components as well as substantially all the other smart phone elements. The intent is to achieve a true full panel display that covers the entire face of the device. Disclosed are embodiments to make the Components fully accessible and functional, including an integrated back panel slider mechanism, a built-in spring loaded module, and an integrated flip component. The front panel display space now includes the top and bottom strip areas and becomes a true full screen display covering the entire face of the device.

In another mode, the entire screen may function in a powered-on state. One of the particular modes may be selected by swiping on object displayed by the screen to select a particular mode while the display is in a sleep mode.
